They basically applied the first Pirates of the Caribbean story to this. It’s that lazy.

We watched it for the first time last night. Yeah pretty standard The Mummy or Indiana Jones fare but ok if you just want something to chill out with. It’s a shame they didn’t get a gay actor for Jack Whitehall’s part. I’m not usually obsessed with gay actors for gay roles but I think he missed the nuance a bit and it came off a bit of a caricature

This one was both a pleasant surprise and a slight disappointment. Cheesy as hell and stole plenty from other movies but the cast and direction make it work. 6.5/10

Finally watched this last night with the kiddos. Kinda intense for my five and eight year olds, but it was a fun movie. The Rock and Emily Blunt did a nice job.
