Jurassic World - - Part 11

So the movie rental store that I work at just got this yesterday, and I got to take a Blu Ray copy home tonight. Just finished watching it for the third time, and I still love it as much as I did the first time.

Lucky! I love this movie so much. Just as much as the original JP. Cannot wait to grab it on Tuesday and watch it over and over :woot:

Got this bad boy pre-ordered already so I'm good to go, just patiently awaiting its arrival. :D

Place on my shelf reserved for when I get it this week :)

I loved it to and cant want to get it. I saw it 3 times in theaters. I still like the first 1 the most but I think this one is close to the first and miles better then 2 or 3 and 2 I still find 2 to be a fun entertain movie so its not like I hate 2 even though I like this one much more. Now 3 has a few cool parts but dose suck over all.

It looks freakin' phenomenal on bluray. I just wish I could sell the DVD, as it is useless to me lol

Got mine but not had a chance to watch it yet, hopefully tonight will be the night!

Watched it tonight, this movie is simply stunning on Blu ray, and it is one of those movies that just gets better and better the more you watch it. Treverrow has just made a very, very good movie that ticks all the right boxes for a summer blockbuster, but throws in the right amount of nostalgia as well, there are a couple of parts that have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up and grinning like a child.

And the end fight between the I-Rex and T-Rex, with Blue helping, wow, awesome way to end the movie, especially with the T-Rex reclaiming her island at the end.

I picked it up from Target because they have an additional special features disc. Universal didn't skip out in that department. All that's missing is a commentary track.

Got it from Walmart for the lunch box gift set. Thinking about giving the lunchbox to my brother cause he used to have one for Jurassic park way back when, but looking at it its just too nice.

Got my copy earlier in the day, planning on watching it a little later on. Feels so good to finally have this on DVD. :D

My avatar is pretty much how I will react every time Bryce is on-screen.

This is the first time I've opted NOT to get the steelbook for movie when given the choice. Hate that rounded case. Otherwise, looking forward to watching it again.

USPS screwed up and my blu-ray didn't arrive on time. Based on the tracking it's not going to be delivered until Thursday at the earliest.:cmad:

Glad to hear it looks great on blu-ray. I'm trying to decide whether to go digital (HD) for now then wait for 4k (rather than just get the blu-ray).

It is one of the best looking blu rays I have seen in a while, its almost too good at times with the actos looking out of place with the surroundings, but that's a nitpick in all honesty, the picture and sound are just superb.

I honestly didn't care for Jurassic World. The characters were bland, plot elements were introduced that were wasted, some characters shouldn't have even been in this movie, some scenes were more stupid than entertaining, and though some of the action set pieces were good (and the last dinosaur battle was great), it didn't really pack the emotional punch.

This movie hinges on nostalgia to sell it and that's fine. You gotta make your money anyway you can. The actual quality of the movie beyond rose-tinted glasses and being nostalgia about the first movie doesn't really leave much to desire.

I honestly thought AoU, Mission Impossible, Mad Max Fury Road, and Ant-Man were all superior movies and had characters and action I could get invested in. This one felt weak.

Oh, and that scene with the assistant dying was hilariously awful. They gave her a straight-up villain death for no reason at all.

For me this ticked all of the boxes that AOU didn't and I found JW a superior movie to that, despite me being a big Joss Whedon fan. Things like the final battle being totally satisfying in JW as opposed to a big disappointment in AOU and the I-Rex being a better and more threatening villain than Ultron despite not being able to talk are big factors in that.

All of the characters in JW I found likeable also with one exception and hell I cared more about the Raptors in this movie than I did for half the characters in AOU. JW actually had tension in it also which AOU didn't at all for me.

I do think MM FR and M:I are superior movies and I liked Ant Man a lot but it didn't surpass JW for me. I disagree that it was just nostalgia that helped JW along though. I find the more I watch the movie the more I like it and it takes more than nostalgia to do that.

JW wasn't a perfect film by any means, but I thought it was much better than AOU.

Obviously Mad Max beats all of them though, that movie is the bomb.
