It has Rose Byrne. I will see it eventually, though I am not sure about in the theater.

The image is great, but T-Rex anatomy and perspective is a bit of a mess.

The embargo isn't a big deal actually. The movies that tend to suck won't allow published reviews till the day it comes out, which usually means they didn't screen it for critics. THAT is usually a red flag. Many movies still don't allow reviews up till a day or two before the premiere so don't worry about it

Forget the review embargo, I should see it next Thursday and hook you all up with truth! :oldrazz:

AWE YEAH! in the meantime I'm conducting a rewatching of the series. The first film is the best

Ill watch the girst one before I go see JW but since Lost World and JP3 deal with Site B there isnt much reason for me to bother rewatching those two.

I think Trevorrow said that while the second and third films are still considered canon, Jurassic World doesn't make any mention of those events or even Site B in general. I'm curious if they'll ever revisit Isla Sorna in a future sequel.

That's a shame Lost World's events aren't mentioned considering it was those events that made the existence of dinosaurs public knowledge in the JP movie universe.

Can't believe this comes out next week; I've been waiting for a sequel ever since JP3 came out. It's been 14 years!

I'm seeing the movie at a press screening next Tuesday! I'll post my review on my college newspaper's website around Friday, but I'll be here to talk about it on Wednesday!

Awesome. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

As for the embargo, maybe they don't need reviews at this stage. Hype already exists. If it's tracking at $100m opening weekend, why risk that? Not everyone is going to fall head over heels with this movie, after all.

Is it just me, or has there yet to be a single dino image in all of the promo material so far that looks as convincing as this? I swear, it's not just nostalgia talking...it just looks more organic and less glossy to me.

Not trying to be a downer...I'd really love for this movie to be good, and I plan on seeing it regardless of how the reviews are. I just am leery of going in with my expectations too high.

I remember when I was in elementary school after seeing all three JP films I desperately wanted a fourth one. I'd search the net for every scrap of news I could find on that film, because my thirst needed to be quenched so badly at the time. Same with a seventh Star Wars movie. If only I could go back and tell my 10-11 year old self that they'll both be out by the time I'm into my freshman year of college.

Had to post that sorry.

Spy's insanely great reviews surprised the hell out of me. I was expecting awful reviews. That being said, I have zero interest in seeing that movie. Im beyond sick of McCarthys schtick.

This is the first I have heard of Spy. I haven't seen any previews or heard any thing about it so I don't know what it is even about.

If this were released 10 years ago, it wouldn't have been, since JP3's reception was pretty negative. But Jurassic World seems to be banking on nostalgia for the first film, which should give it a big boost, especially after the positive reception to Jurassic Park's 3D rerelease two years ago. My prediction is that while this one won't be on par with the first, it will be much better received than The Lost World and Jurassic Park III.

Agree I think it will be between a 75-85 RT score.

The first film is a classic, but like you I am thinking of giving the series a run through prior to seeing JW! :D

I've been watching all three like a crazy person since June started. Don't know when I'll see Jurassic World but I know I'm doing a triple feature of the first 3 on the 12!

It's not just you. I chalk it up to style though. Current CGI probably goes for a different, more fruitful appearance now.

That being said, that shot of the T Rex has better cgi than any shot of a dinosaur from the promos so far. It will be better on screen; but this is worth noting.

The Jurassic Park franchise had this unique cgi tone to it that made it so heavy, even the lost world had that Jurassic Park CGI feel to it, the spinosaurus did in JP3 as well, in my opinion. (though not as good over all)
What we've seen so far doesn't quite add up yet. I'm sure it will look better on screen next week though. We shall see
