Jurassic World

I feel like Grant did want to have kids after the events of Jurassic Park...he just was never ready, and she was.

But then, that sort of negates the whole character development in the first film because we're led to believe that by the end, Grant has reconsidered his feelings on children.

It was like Jurassic Park 3 only chose to be true to the books in order to have her husband be with the military and "conveniently" able to help them at the end.

STUPID!

Jurassic Park 3 took all the unused ideas from the books and ruined them, so disappointing.

At this point, I'm still not sure about a fourth one but with the right cast, I could get excited again. I do like the idea of Joseph Mazzello returning and/or bringing in someone new like Tom Hiddleston.

Actually, he just needs to have a cameo or something just because of his raptor impression...adorable.

Hell, even do an adaptation of the plot of some of the games (Chaos Continues, maybe Tresspasser?)

Oh you fangirls with your Hiddlestons and Cumberbatches. :o

So, I was browsing around a JP board today and someone posted this from their photobucket, and I had to share:

There's a massive difference between getting over ones dislike of children and actually desiring to have some of your own.

As far as them not being together in jp3...it's a shame from our stand point, but I think it's logical within the films world. They both went through something terrible and most likely came away from it as different people and realized it wouldn't work. People deel with tramua in vastly different ways. The fact that they're both shown to still care about each other and have a deep bond proves that, IMO.

I always felt that Grant came out of a near death experience thinking "Holy crap, I nearly died, maybe I should reconsider my life and start a family..." but then after time passed, he fell back into his old ways and Ellie got tired of waiting for him to be the man she needed so she moved on.

It's actually something I liked about JP3. The realization that Grant thought he wanted to change, but couldn't bring himself to do it makes his arc with Ellie bittersweet and less "storybook."

Im thinking ellie may have gotten out of the paleo business while grant dug deeper.

Keep in mind the survivor were probably treated as celebrities upon their returning and Im sure grant and Malcolm probably were front and center in that.... Ellie probably wanted no part in that. Grant probably wanted to leave it behind but couldn't

I thought they covered it all up in the first film, and no one came out about it until after The Lost World and the Sand Diego incident. I mean then they were celebrities more or less, but I don't quite feel the reason was the fame their relationship didn't work.
I think despite appreciating kids (including showing affection for Ellie's son and working with younger hands like Billy), he became a lot more miserable a person, because despite giving the "theme park monster" speech, Grant got to see dinosaurs, and they were everything he imagined, but they also tried to kill him, and he became quite disillusioned by the animals that once made him so happy. I figure paleontology was what he knew, so he kept doing it, despite being quite unhappy with what he was doing. Even Eric in JP3 says he liked his first book better, before Grant went to the island.

Wasn't there some Australian billionaire who wanted to create a REAL Jurassic Park by cloning dinosuars using their fossils or something. He also wants to recreate the Titanic. It was a news story sometime last year.

the same guy who's doing this park is the same guy who's doing the titanic II, and he's doing animatronic dino's not cloned ones.

The technology to really clone dinosaurs isn't quite possible yet.

I wish someone would clone Michael Chriton and have him write the 4th film!

That's what I recall hearing is that they were going to clone a Wooley Mammoth but that was a year ago or so then nothing happened.

You don't hear to much about cloning now since Dolly now anyway....

It'd be nice if they cloned a recently extinct animal that we killed off, like the Dodo bird

Malcolm implied he wouldn't have a problem bringing back animals that humans drove to extinction.

yeah, malcom believed if nature killed it, it should stay dead... if man killed it.. than it was their fault and it's there right to bring it back
