I didn't mind how they did it in Jurassic Park III. Grant was very reluctant to go and was promised that they would be just flying over the island and not landing on it. I actually thought the movie started off fine in general, up until around the point the Spinosaurus killed the Tyrannosaurus and it got progressively dumber after that right up to the awful climax which was the worst part of the entire film.

Like I said, cameos work. Do you think Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum are going to keep running from dinosaurs? They're both in their 60s now. Actually, the only ones that could go to the island that I wouldn't completely hate the idea of are Tim and Lex. Hell, Tim is still acting in high profile stuff like The Social Network and G.I. Joe, so he could come back to the franchise.
 
Mazzello seems to still love the pop culture fame of JP, so I doubt he would not come back if asked.

Yeah, that seems the logical way to go to me.
 
If he does come back, I don't want him to be the cliche reluctant anti-hero as most stories often like to do when they bring characters like this back. He should be older but still pretty enthusiastic about the whole thing, even if he was fighting for his life the first time.
 
Well, really there's just one problem I have...why would they want to go back? I mean, despite liking the trilogy, after JP2, there wasn't a good reason. Especially them being kids, that cold make the fear all the more worse. Maybe those issues with InGen will finally come to light.

I disagree.... i think they're more than capable... and I for one certainly want Laura Dern back, face to face with dinos. And Tim i definitely see returning. But Grant is a must in my book...

infact my most wanted are easily...

all 5 of those would make things gold for me.

Lex, Billy, Owen, and Kelly would just be icing on the cake for me But those 5 would easily make it the best JPIV film in my book.

It just has to make sense...

I loved seeing Dern reprise her role in 3.. but it was incredibly frustrating that all she did was talk on a phone the whole time : (

I think a possible way to play things up, is if ....

1) someone is basically kidnapped by mercenaries and forced to be a guide on the island (no choice in the matter of returning)

2) I could see Tim and Ellie returning if the US gov threatened to nuke the island. Basically nature conservationists. They are animal lovers after all... and while incredibly dangerous animals, they are just victims of John Hammond. Maybe Tim wants to make right of his grandfather's mistake?

3) coming full circle back to the "park" aspect. A billionaire comes along claiming to be able to do things better, and safer than Hammond ever could. And fix everything that Hammond did wrong. However... the 5 members i mentioned I want returning, are willing to go to great lengths to make sure a second park never happens......

also.. no matter what JP4 also needs to feature a scene where one of the JP1 cast members are on the original island... remembering the incident and seeing the grown over destruction.
 
One of the biggest atrocities JP3 commited was not having Grant and Ellie work out. :csad:

No 3. Just seems to somewhat be an adaptation of the recent comics. I like it.
 
I didn't know that was Tim in the Social Network and GI Joe until you guys said something lol. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Lex with cameo's from Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum in the new movie.

I assume this is more of an attraction where you can go around and look at different dinosaurs as opposed to a flume ride where they attack you and stuff like at Universal Studios.

Dinosaur World outside Plant City has a handful of animatronic dinosaurs. I gather this will be a full park of stuff like that.
 
I'll pass on it as well because I'll probably never go to china in my lifetime.

A freaking greed. I can't believe they thought that was a good idea. They had literally the perfect relationship in number 1. I thought it was one of the most adult, mature relationships I've seen in the movie. They're never oh I love you blah blah blah because thats not how real relationships are. They bicker about children and you can tell how relieved they are to finally see each other again. It's an incredibly mature relationship and they just throw it all away
 
What exactly was their status in the film? Were they married, engaged, just dating? I don't remember it being said. The book is no help because they aren't involved at all there.

But yeah, they are one of the few couples in film that actually act like a real couple. I appreciated that.
 
Malcolm asked if she was taken, and Grant just gives him a look and some kind of grunt and he backs off. He never outright says it.
 
Malcolm asks if they're she's available and Grant asks why and then Malcolm asks if they're a thing and Grant says yeah. They never say they're married but they have conversations that couples have when either they're married or when they've been together long enough and maybe don't believe in marriage or just don't have the time for it.
 
I would say they split because Grant didn't want to have kids and Ellie did...hence why she had a kid in JP3.
