me and my girlfriend (future wife) are huge Heroes fans, and I mean HUGE. to the point of organizing all our monday activities around the show's schedule, plus we tend to hunt for any appearances by members of the cast on TV and the like

although sometimes we do feel kinda guilty about it, we figured we wouldn't be the only ones

what are some of the things you've caught yourself doing/thinking that made you realize just how much of a geek you are for this show?

-every time we see Masi Oka on TV (he was a regular extra on Scrubs for a while) or anyone closely resembling him (sometimes even on the street) we scream "YATAAA!!!"

-reffering to whatever quirk you have as a "gift" or "special abbility", so far we've mentioned: the power to arrive late everywhere, the power to ignore weird smell looking people while commuting and not managing to make retching faces, the power to forget really important stuff and remember it after it's not relevant anymore, the power to fart silent but deadly ones, etc

-making references and comments related or about the show while with people who doesn't watch it, making way for many social faux pas

those are the ones that came off the top of my head, but the question remains....

are you obssessed?

I imagine I WOULD be obsessed, but I've always had to work Monday nights. As a result, I tape Heroes and watch it the next morning.

I do start looking forward to the show starting on Thursdays after my LOST high wears off  Actually, during the last episode when Claire was doing her burnt toast impression, I think I made some sort of squealing noise. Can't wait for tonight, dammit!

I watch it, but unless the show does something pretty major by the finale, I may stop watching it.

I don't care for many of the characters, thus I'm slowly losing interest, so I'm giving it till the finale to change my mind.

Wife and I are pretty hooked. What I like is that it has actually made me look forward to Mondays. Never had a garfield-level hatred of Mondays, but I was always a little bummed when the weekend was over. Now it's crazy - "Monday equals Heroes, I love Mondays!"

Well I've never been this into a show before, the characters being a big draw.

I'm going to go out on a limb and even say it's one of the best interpretations of superheroes on the small or big screen.Anyone agree with me?

Huh. Honestly, if it was me and the last two episodes haven't hooked me yet I probably would have stopped watching already. It just doesn't make any sense to me to keep watching stuff that I don't really like.

Anyway, I'm so hooked on this show I'm seriously getting cracked out waiting for this show to roll around on Monday night. I can barely think straight all day and keep flipflopping throughout the course of the day on whether or not I'm going to check out the spoilers or keep myself unspoiled. As of now, I've gotten the gist of some spoilers without actually knowing most of the specifics.

Hard to take seriously coming from a die hard Smallville fan.

Touche' :cwink:

Yea, there are many people who dislike Smallville, but hey...to each his own.

As of right now I watch Heroes for Peter, Matt, and Hiro...but for some reason the show just isn't completely hooking me like it is others. I'm not really sure why. I'm hoping that it pays off in the finale for me...but who knows.

Personally I think "House" blows it out of the water.:hyper:

But, being a die hard Smallville fan doesn't make my opinion about Heroes any less valid. Different things for different sorts and all that jazz.:yay:

the Monday Effect is not uncommon amongst Heroes fans, I've noticed

I don't miss a episode and usually watch it again when it repeasts on friday on sci-fi and I will be buying the dvd this summer

its one of the only shows were i watch it religiously im not a big tv person but heroes has made me one

I'd be a hour late at a bars me and my friends go to watch monday night football. I'll probably get the DVD.

Heroes is the only show on TV that I watch currently.

Im totally addicted, not obsessed but definatley addicted and I like it.

I only watch about 3 hours of tv a week (aside from the news)

One hour of that is heroes :yay:

Another hour is watching heroes AGAIN! :woot:

The final hour is comprised of the freeviews on various pron channels :o

I LOVE HEROES!

yeah me too... but partly because I missed all of season 2 of Lost and haven't gotten around to getting the DVDs.

Don't get me wrong though... Heroes is a good show, but I think some of you all are making it to be more that what it really is.

I was so impressed with last week's episode I'm switching from watching 24 and downloading Heroes to watching Heroes and downloading 24.

little too late mate, its gonna be out for a few weeks :(

Heh. Probably. But I myself can't help feeling the fanboy frenzy when it comes to Heroes. It's basically involuntary, you know.

i've renamed the calendar days

Pre-Heroes-Day, Heroes-Day, Post-Heroes-Day, Waiting Days 1-4

kidding of course

Are you takling about that lab technician from early on? Was that Masi Oka?!?! Wow, now I have to go back and watch every episode he was in!!

Why? For not being a Heroes crazed Lemming?

I wasn't saying that the show is bad by any means, it's very well written...but I just can't connect with most of the characters, with a few exceptions.

And If I just honestly don't like the characters, then what's the point?

Not to mention the fact that between Sylar and Peter, the rest of the cast are pretty much obsolete, since those two can practically do anything they would like.

To each his own.....:o
