"Justice League: The One Man Army"​

Hello all. So maybe my first two fanfics were complete failures, but this time, I'm going to actually go through with a story that I've always wanted to tell featuring the Justice League. Their opponent is an original character of my creation. His name is OMA, and he is extremely powerful. And let me tell you, even the JLA will have a hard time with this guy...

The premise is that Oma is a powerful being of unknown origin and immense power that knows nothing of his past, and he has arrived on Earth to make it his new home by exterminating the entire human race. So it'll take the entire Justice League (an original line-up featuring the best of the best with a few of my favorites thrown in) to stop him. It's a battle of epic proportions that ravages throughout the entire planet earth, and eventually reaches the far ends of the Multiverse, before reaching it's final epic climax back on Earth. It'll even take the enlistment of a few guest star teams (featuring original line-ups of my choosing) to help the battle reach it's end. Will the fate of Earth end up in it's destruction at the hands of this new foe? Or can the Justice League stop him in time to save the universe? Only time will tell if the JLA can defeat this One Man Army...


As I said before, the JL roster in this story was handpicked by me to feature the most powerful members of JL history, along with some of my favorite members. So here's the roster that'll be going up against the One Man Army:

And as I also stated before, there will be quite a few guest stars throughout the story, including some from the alternate universes that will be featured. Also, before the final climax back on Earth, two guest teams will be aiding the JLA in the final battle. They too will have original line-ups handpicked by me. I won't be revealing the teams just yet, but I can give you a hint that one of teams features Nightwing (Dick Grayson) as a member.

I'll post the prologue sometime tomorrow night which will introduce Oma and one of the important elements to his conquest of Earth. Then I'll get the first chapters up asap, which will introduce two of the members of the JL in each one until they're all assembled to face Oma.

Justice League: The One Man Army

"Prologue pt.1"​

A number of millenia ago, somewhere, in a galaxy much farther away than our own... There was an event that had changed the history of the universe for the worse, for the greed of one man, alien in species, evil in mindset, wanted a weapon that would help him to take over life as all knew it back then...

In search of this weapon, the being had scoured planet after planet, but to no avail. This was until he realized that a weapon the calibur of which he was hoping to discover, could not be found. It would have to be made...

He then had many who had served him search the cosmos for the greatest of minds, and had convinced them all that if they had joined together to build the very item he had yearned for, then they would be very well paid for their services. They all enthusiastically agreed, and began their production to build potentially the deadliest, most destructive weapon in the universe...

The scientists then took DNA from some of the greatest of alien races from all edges of existance, including that of Kryptonian, Martian, Oan and Apokoliptan strands, and weaved them together to create a soldier of unimaginable power. Programmed only to destroy and serve the Dark Lord in his conquest, and crafted to near absolute perfection, the weapon was complete, and their master had awaited long weeks in anticipation, for he was kept in the dark as to what his servants had built. That was, until they had summoned him to their lab....

"Is it ready?" The mysterious voice asked the group of scientists.

"Yes it is, my Lord..." They all cited in a bow to the voice that called to them.

"Then reveal him to me..." It demanded.

The servants all gathered around the table underneath a hulking figure covered with a white sheet. Gently the clasped the sheet with their wrinkled hands, and began to pull. It revealed an unconscious brute of a creature, scarred in many places. Wearing clothes of which were custom, and resembling a symbol that would soon instill fear in thousands of planets it would bring destruction to...

"What are your thoughts, my Lord?"

"Yes, my Lord. What do you think of our creation?"

The mysterious ruler sat in it's throne, staring at the creation brought fourth by his followers.

"Is it as powerful as you describe?"

The men all nodded their heads to confirm their claims.

"Good..." said the intimidating leader as it had arisen from it's royal seat.

"With this weapon, I shall rule the cosmos with an iron fist! I will destroy all who oppose my rule! I will be the harbringer of pain and misery throughout the entire galaxy! And I will shape this universe in my image!"

"Yes! All hail the Dark Lord!" The servants all chanted in unison.

"What will you name it, my Lord?"

"If it is truly as powerful a creation as you say, then with it under my command, I shall need no army to begin my rule. For it is an army of one in itself..."

"A one man army?"

The being simply nodded, then turned away from the weapon and the servants that had created it, to look back at his royal throne. For the throne's domain would soon expand faster than the universe would believe with the assistance of the Dark Lord's one man army.

"I shall name this creature Oma..."

"Oma?"

"Yes. Oma. The One Man Army..." The being stated coldly as it turned back to the creation and his followers, raising his fist.

"And tomorrow, our conquest begins..."

The planet where they created him is unknown at this point, and this baddie's alot different than Doomsday, since he appear's more humanoid and is as intelligent as he is strong.

"Prologue pt.2"​

It wasn't much sooner than his reveal that the Dark Lord had sent his new servant, Oma, to cause chaos and destruction throughout the universe. With the strength of more than one million men, and the intelligence and cunning of a few hundred, the Dark Lord soon took pride in the fact that Oma was the weapon he had wanted in his possession all those years. Of course, there was more to Oma than met the eye...

In fear that the Dark Lord would not follow through with his end of the bargain, the scientists that had created Oma had implanted him with a device that if Dark Lord we're to betray them, it would re-write his programming to make Oma sentient, and no longer the tool of the Dark Lord, so that he may live in piece, and the Dark Lord would fail.

Upon learning of this news, the Dark Lord had attempted to murder the creators, but they had an ace up their sleeve. They unleashed upon the tyrant a weapon that had destabilized his molecules and absorbed them into the power source, meaning the apparent end of the Dark Lord. However, it was when this happened, that the universe was truly in danger...

Having no one to serve, no purpose, and no sense of self, Oma continued his destuctive rampage tenfold. He sought for a place to belong, and if a planet was not fit, he destroyed it. This was until the scientists who had created him had to help stop this monster they've let loose...

Tricking Oma by making him feel that he belonged with them and telling him they could give him answers about his past, the scientists had managed to use a failsafe that had sent Oma into a deep stasis, where he was placed in an asteroid and remained for thousands upon thousands of years. While the universe was let be to repair itself in peace....


Until now.

Two months ago. JLA Watchtower. The Moon...



It all began outside of Earth's atmosphere, where the greatest force of good the world has ever known, the Justice League, composed of the greatest of our universe's heroes did battle with their old foe...The bounty hunter Lobo.

Lobo arrived at the base of the moon base, and put his space bike in park, before jumping off, shotgun blaster in hand.

"Knock knock, bastiches!"

BOOM!!

He fired off an explosive shot that sent tremors throughout the Watchtower's invisible forcefield, and even the cratery surface of the moon itself...


Inside...


As the aftermath of the blast had sent shockwaves throughout the Watchtower's many floors, the League all stood in the Hall of Justice where they all discussed the latest of the Injustice League's failed attempt at world domination. They tried to simultaneously to overflood every major city in the US as well as short circuit every single power plant from Texas to the Canadian border. But they failed, for the combined forces of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, the Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Black Canary, Green Arrow, and the Elongated Man had stopped them in their tracks...

BOOM!!

The ten heroes all were startled by the small quakes, but Superman instantly took charge.

"J'onn. Status report. What the hell was that?" asked the Man of Steel.

"Computer. Access live feed of security cameras 752 to 768."

The computer screen quickly switched to the footage of Lobo trying to turn the force-field into swiss cheese.

"Lobo...." growled the Amazonian princess.

"We need a plan of action. Batman, anything?"

The Dark Knight stroked his chin as he looked at the video. His greatly intelligent mind seemed to formulate a plan almost instantaneously.

"Whatever Lobo is after, whether it be us or something we have, he'll get it if he gets inside. He needs to be stopped before he can reach the tower..."

"So we take the fight to him?" asked the Emerald Archer.

The Caped Crusader gave him a silent nod.

"Okay. You heard the man. Diana, Kyle, J'onn and Zatanna, you're all with me. we're going to hit Lobo head on. Ralph, Ollie, Dinah and Flash, stay here with Batman in case he makes it inside..."

"Right. We got your back, Supes." the fastest man alive assured the Man of Tomorrow.

"Okay then. Justice League, let's go."​

I like it a lot so far, BL. It's really got a blockbuster-movie feel going for it, meaning that I just know this'll be huge in scale, and really fun. I'll definitely be reading this.

"Prologue pt.3"​

As Ralph Dibny typed in the coordinates of their destination outside of their headquarters, Superman ad led his quintet of Leaguers to the teleporters. Their primary method of transportation. They stood in their respective spots, waiting to be whisked away, but not without completing their final preparations.

"Kyle. Can you can keep Zatanna and Diana protected so they do not suffocate from lack of oxygen?" The Manhunter interjected.

"I'm already on it, J'onn. About to cast a spell as we speak."

Then with a wave of her hands, the Mistress of Magic's hands began to glow.

"Negyxo fo sarua!" she chanted as blue swirling lights began to orbit herself and Wonder Woman simultaneously.

"Alright, Supes. We're all good on our ends. Just say the word." Zatanna assured Clark.

"Alright, Ralph. Fire it up."

"You got it." The Elongated Man replied, typing in the final button sequence.

Then with a flash of white, the five Leaguers had all vanished, and the remainder of the team watched as they prepared to see what would transpire next...

"Come on, Justice wimps! It's time to play!" Lobo screamed out, continuing his assault on the force field. Shifting back and forth between blasting at it with his rifles, and punching it with his superpowered bare hands.

"Come on out and face Lobo!"

"Gladly!" the Themyscirian princess shouted, grabbing hold of Lobo's shoulder and turning him to face her before she gave him one powerful uppercut with most if not all of her strength. Forcing him to stagger backwards before falling to his knees.

Lobo's senses were in a daze, but only for a few moments. He took notice of the rest of the League all floating behind Wonder Woman.

"You rang, Frankenstein?" Kyle mockingly inquired.

"Yeah I did. About time too. I was starting to think you losers wouldn't show up..."

"What are you doing here, Czarnian?" J'onn demanded.

"Somebody's willing to pay a pretty penny for me to take back something in that fancy lil' tower of yours that don't belong to you..." the bounty hunter began, getting back up to his feet. "And being the generous man that I am... How could I refuse?"

"Who hired you, Lobo? Speak now or feel our wrath."the Martian demanded.

"Wouldn't you like to know, martian?" Lobo snickered.

"Well then how about I show you how we welcome our uninvited guests..." Wonder Woman said with pleasure, launching another super-strong punch to Lobo's temple, but he didn't go down this time.

"Also, just to show my client how generous I am, I'm going to give him your heads as souvenirs!"

Lobo reeled back his fist and thrusted towards the Amazon princess, but his fist hit something else entirely. It was instead blocked by Superman's hand, who managed to intercept his fist before Lobo could blink.

"It doesn't matter what you're after, Lobo. Because you're not getting it. Not while we're around..." The Man of Steel replied valiantly, slamming his fist into Lobo's nose ten times harder than Diana had previously. The last Czarnian was completely knocked back into the force field, and the impact might've caused a fracture or two within Lobo's spine, which he quickly healed from, but the pain was still there.

"You hurt that think? My hit grandmas better that than...." Lobo replied completely out of his mind from the blow.

"Please, Lobo..." The Last Son of Krypton started, approaching Lobo, and folding his arms over his chest.




"We're just getting started...."
