Kang the Conquerer NOT owned by Marvel

Aquaman will make Namor redundant outside of a cameo/villain or a Fantastic Four movie.

This is how Marvel Studios can move forward

Phase 4

Mighty Avengers: Atlantis Attacks (very loose adaptation, mostly for the title, Namor is the villain for the first two acts and then Attuma becomes the big bad for the third)

West Coast Avengers: Evolutionary War (High Evolutionary as the big bad. He's a great villain and I'm surprised he gets a lack of love here.)

Phase 5

West Coast Avengers: Insert Wonder Man Related Title Here (Wonder Man would be some sort of Johnny Cage-type character who's a cocky Hollywood actor with a dangerous arms dealer brother. Needless to say, Grim Reaper is the main antagonist.)

Mighty Avengers: Siege (Green Goblin as the main villain. Plans to take over Asgard.)

Phase 6

West Coast Avengers: Korvac Saga (Korvac as the main villain)

Mighty Avengers: Under Siege (Thunderbolts as antagonists)

Phase 7

West Coast Avengers: Taking AIM (MODOK as the big bad. Monica Rappacini as 1st Act antagonist. Super Adaptoid as supporting antagonist. Loose adaptation as Captain America isn't the POV character)

Mighty Avengers: The Gatherers (Proctor as big bad)

I'd also like to see an adaptation of Red Zone but I feel like that would be better as a Cap sequel.

West Coast avengers aren't enough to fight Korvac. He slaughtered a huge team of Avengers and GOTG combined.

I strongly disagree. I think Namor, done correctly, can easily co-exist with Aquaman.

True. I feel like Namor is more of an anti-hero and often an outright villain. He's also VERY sexualized so we have a womanizing villain which isn't like Aquaman at all.

The MCU isn't totally 100% like the comics. Plus, a villain like Korvac can absolutely be threatening while only fighting a team of Avengers.

Marvel just released their 2015 poster, and should tell us what they own:

They don't technically own the rights to Spider-Man characters, but I do agree this seems to be the characters who could conceivably appear in their movies right now. Certainly, Marvel has been careful to give at least some obligatory nod towards either the Fantastic Four or the X-Men and this has neither.

Aquaman will make Namor redundant outside of a cameo/villain or a Fantastic Four movie.

And how's that different from the comics? Namor strikes me as no different there.

Oh thank God. Taskmaster and Crystal.

Wish that was higher resolution. Does anyone spot Captain Britain? I've been trying to figure out how Marvel have used Lance Hunter and S.T.R.I.K.E. in the MCU and offhand the most obvious reason would be if they have the rights to Captain Britain.

Who is the woman in white next to Venom? Looks kind of like Emma Frost.

Oh thank God. Taskmaster and Crystal.

Crystal was never in doubt. Taskmaster seems clearly a mercenary. He's not really associated with any one IP. That's why I would have been surprised if he was anything else but Marvel.

Pretty sure that's Dagger, as in part of the duo Cloak & Dagger.

Oh, and I can't ******* believe I lived to see the day when Wolverine's totally out of sight on something like this while Cosmo is prominently featured. Sad day (though Cosmo is undeniably awesome).

Think it is. Could be Dagger to though as mentioned. Looks more like Emma though.

Crystal has been mostly absent from the recent Inhumans comics, leading to speculation she was either part of the FF or shared. Hopefully Marvel will learn from M Night Shamalan's mistakes - a full blown elemental should be spectacular
on the big screen.

I see Taskmaster in that lot. Someone had mentioned Taskmaster being a Deadpool villain or something so it's good to know that he isn't stuck.

Is that T-rex supposed to represent the Savage Land?

Devil Dinosaur

Seriously. How about no Galactus and only Celestials? Marvel is clearly in a state of all out war.

As for Universal I don't understand why Marvel just buys them out in the same way they did Paramount? Then they can use Namor and Hulk however they choose and make distribution $ off of TIH home video sales.

He answer to your Namor questions:

Translation: they can use him but Universal still makes some money if they do.

BINGO.....Pretty much what I suspected. I also notice they keep using the word "entanglement" with some older contracts. Makes me wonder was a third studio involved with the rights. It may have been brought to their attention when they looked over all the contracts. Somebody may have fell asleep at the wheel when they sold the rights.

Marvel isn't interested in using Namor right now. They may just let the distribution rights to Hulk and Namor lapse when ever that happens. And won't have to pay Universal jack.

Crystal's absence is explained by the fact that she's not that interesting of a character. Hell, Lockjaw is a more interesting character. All she does it act as a romantic interest (not just for Johnny Storm, although I can see why some might mistakenly think she'd be a FF character, but also Pietro Maximoff, who is a shared character) and pout a lot. Once Medusa started hanging out with Lockjaw and Quicksilver's marriage was annulled, she really lost all point. But the character is clearly an Inhumans character. She hasn't ever really appeared independent of them (even when the others would go off and she was with the FF, she usually had Lockjaw with her. I would wager that Medusa has had as many solo appearances with them as she has). I don't think there's any plausible argument she wouldn't at least be shared.

Marvel doesn't really need Hulk or Namor distro right now. Hulk is doing fine by just showing up in other stuff, and a Namor film seems very unlikely. If they had the Fox stuff back, things might be different. Fantastic Four: Atlantis Rising would be a nice take on Marvel FF, and a Hulk versus Wolverine film would print money.

I see no Ka-zar either. Looks like anybody who has rights issues tied up (Namor) or shared under agreement doesn't get promoted in that picture. I see no Scarlett Witch or Quicksilver even though they are in AOU. Or did I miss them?

They absolutely had to pay Paramount. Paramount had all the films up to that point and the ones yet to be released.

Ka-Zar is, frankly, a pretty damn minor character in the grand scheme of things. It's not that weird that he isn't present. For what it's worth, Marvel has him. They were seriously considering a Ka-Zar film in their early days as an independent studio. That's probably why they also have the Savage Land.
