Comics Keeping or Dropping ASM?

DROPPING. It breaks my heart... and makes me so angry, but there is no way I'm buying into this stupidity.

If they DO go forward with the RIDICULOUS, overtly AGENDA DRIVEN story of "Dr. Strange can't save Aunt May unless all traces of Peter's relationship with MJ is erased from the face of the earth..." You better believe I'm done.

In fact, I've been so irritated by Joey Q's comments on the marriage, and feel certain enough that this arrogant twit IS going to force this crap down our throats, KNOWING full well that most fans DON'T want it... I dropped all the 616 titles after Back in Black. I'm not buying ONE MORE DAY. I'm not supporting this idiotic plan of his in any way.

Keeping MJ in the story as some kind of "superhero" is just insult to injury. The "tease" of "will they find their way back to each other..." holds NO interest for me. Because as long as that fat bastard is running the show we KNOW that they won't! There will only be love triangles, flirting and shack-ups... No thank you.

Yes, I like Romita Jr and hear lots of good things about Dan Slott, but I still feel that this turn of events is, as she said, completely agenda driven. A pile of crap wrapped up in a pretty package is still a pile of crap.

I'll be honest, i love spider-man and as much as i may be tempted to stop reading, i'll probly never stop reading the books, no matter WHAT they do. Even if Uncle Ben comes back from the dead as a super-powered robot villain, i wouldnt even drop the book then.

Honestly, I'm on the fence.

If they don't break up the marriage, then I'm in.

If they break up the marriage, then I'll buy Slott & McNiven's run before I bow out.

If they break up the marriage,and they bring back Harry and Gwen, then I don't care if Stan Lee is writing it....I"M OUT.

I'm feeling to agree with this.....

BUT, there's a (small chance,) that something might be so amazing that I'd be happy to allow the marriage not to exist anymore. And I'm talking, being amazing as discovering Spider-Man as a kid for the 1st time amazing.

But DANG! how do I miss out on Slott/McNiven!?

As well as that, they got the guy who Co-Created the Back to the Future series with Jiminez!! I love that trilogy! How can I stopmy self from that!?

JQ is a damn vicious business man, he knows what he's doing!

But there's gonna be A LOT of people who'll want the 'real,' Peter back... We gonna follow the exploits of JQ's 'What If.'? version of Peter Parker forever ?

The Slott team makes it even harder to drop this title. But I'm dropping it for now. That way one can hope the sales will make Marvel undo the effects of OMD. Once I know that is gone I can still go back and enjoy Slott's writing while knowing Spidey wouldn't be stuck in that world forever.

It is a rumor, it may have originated from the Millar boards, but now it seems some people who claim to know the ending to OMD are certain it ain't so.

Maybe it was put out there by Marvel, so when it does not happen it is their intention that it takes the edge off erasing the marriage.

Although I admit I dont hate the guy. Maybe its because I havent been around long enough(I picked up the book halfway through BIB, but I've read my share of early ASM), so I dont really know why he's such an enemy. The one bad thing I know about Joey Q was that he was responsible for the unmasking, which i thought was kinda lame, but I accepted it. And now it looks as though they're going through a lot of useless trouble for a dumb mistake, but I'll accept it.
