The Dark Knight Ken Watanabe return in TDK?

Watanabe was wasted in BB imo. When he was first cast, I thought he'd have been Kyodai Ken from BTAS, which would've been perfect. Bah.

I liked the speech. It was over-the-top and cliche but it worked for that scene.

Most of them say the same thing about wanting to come back.

Ken Watanabe actually could return, because... If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal... and if Chris Nolan can't stop you... then you can be in The Dark Knight.

I don't think they'd bring back Ken's character from the dead though. After a burning roof dropped on him and the building exploded how could he?

Ken Watanbe is on of my favorties and I do love his role (albeit a small one) iin Batman Begins. His "Gotham must die" speech is one of my favorite scene. A little cheesy, but not too much.

If they can find some way to get him in TDK then I'm happy.

I remember reading a while back that Ken thought his character was the real Ra's, maybe he's still under that impression, i dont havea link but i cant be the only one who remembers this.

Obviously the reason they cast someone of Watanabe's stature in that role is because if they'd cast a nobody, you'd have known he was a red-shirt from the beginning. It needed a badass, name-ish actor to distract you from Neeson. I mean if instead of Watanabe it was just some random guy playing "Ra's"/Ubu, and we were asked to accept Neeson as his sidekick, you'd have known it was bull.

But Watanabe and Neeson are about equal in awesomeness, so it helps keep the twist a secret. That's the way it had to be.

And yes, I believe Mr. Kensaku Watanabe is probably a tad bit confused, but he's so badass that we like him anyway.
