Kevin Smith to Direct Cop Out

Well, in the last 10 minutes the RT's rating of this movie went down to 13%. :joker:

Everytime Kevin Smith tries to branch out he fails. I guess that hockey movie with Seann William Scott ain't happening. Time for more Jay and Silent Bob.

it's so weird to think that Smith in real life is super witty and yet, none of that appears in most of his movies. Not to say that they're bad because I liked Chasing Amy.

I'm surprised that this movie is getting alot of bad reviews. But the trailer says it all I'd say for sure.

I think he's a way better writer then he is a director.

He directed this film but he didn't write it. Big mistake, IMO.

What's so weird? I know a lot of witty people that are untalented.

This film looks awful. Out of Kevin Smith's filmography I've only enjoyed a select few.

it seems people are not prepared to watch buddy cop movies anywhere judging from the reactions of this movie.

I dread to think what people would think of a new Beverly Hills Cop Movie. They would probably say, it needs to have Matt Damon in a gritty action scene.

Lighten up folks. The more buddy cop movies we get the better. I'm sick to death of watching "gritty" crap thats made these days.

A few more buddy cop comedies would do us all some good.

I remember the good old days of Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop etc

Lets bring them back.
Give them a chance at least.

Reviews are **** most of the time really guys.

The trailer and tv spots are nice imho. Sadly, it ain't in theaters where I live. Wait no it is...I was checking out thursday...not this weekend movies.

Nobody wants to see BAD buddy cop comedies. Make something more akin to 48 Hrs. and Lethal Weapon and people wouldn't complain.

Oh, where is there a place for fun cop movies like Police Academy, Superfuzz, or Stop or my Mom will shoot anymore?

it's not fair to paint all reviews in broad strokes as if they have no merit. yes, sometimes they can be unfair consensus of a certain movie. but 3/4 of the time, they're right.

i'll probably check out the movie on DVD. some of the reviews are on par with Epic Movie.

Oooh...you can look at the trailer for Date Movie or that other one...Disaster Movie.

Meet the Spartans had a good trailer...then I saw maybe 1/3rd of the movie...and cried myself to sleep that night.
