It was an absurd ending for an absurd movie. It's not really supposed to make sense, it was made for purpose of being a funny, stupid concept that's played straight.

Basically this. GoldGoblin I think you took it a bit too seriously you need to see that it is just completely absurd, and that's how it's meant to be.
