Last night, I just noticed that my J key on my laptop is having problems. When I hit it, it makes more of a tapping sound than a clicking sound. If I want to use it, I have to slam it a couple times before it types the letter.

I'm not sure what to do. I can't send it in b/c I need it for school. I don't know if my school's tech support could fix it. We're on break so I don't think I could get a reply if I emailed them before Monday. I'm tempted to take the key off myself but I don't want to do anything that might be irrevocable.

Spidey,

What I would suggest is getting a can of air, and see if something got lodged up in the keyboard. It happened to mine as well, and that took care of it. If keeps persisting, let us know.

G'Luck,
Ali

It works now. Don't know what did it. Only thing I did was close my laptop and bring it to another room.

Thanks for your help anyway Alistair. I will remember that solution if it happens again.
