It is kind of amazing that nobody wanted to buy it. No buyers for the MMO makes alot of sense, though. But, no buyers for the RPG game...that's surprising to me.
It was more then that though, There was a lack of advertizement from EA before that. I mean any of us hearing about the Rhode island scandal a few months after. it was only seen on channels that had video game news talk like g4 in North America. Which was weird, that was about it. it maybe why the loan happened from 38 studio's in the first place. there was serious luck of support from their publisher.Governor has a point about giving Schilling the money but it was not junk. It was a pretty fantastic game. Problem was they released a rpg right after Skyrim came out. It didn't stand a chance
what was there to play? it was in the earliest of alpha and they were just story boards and environment stuff of buildings til they were forced to stop. they didn't make that far.He called the MMO junk, which it sounds like it was since not even devs were playing it in their recreational time.

THQ Nordic has acquired the Kingdoms of Amalur intellectual property from 38 Studios, the company announced.
The deal also covered the acquisition of the Amalur based on the abandoned MMORPG project “Copernicus.”
