World Kirk Alyn serials, anyone?

This completely escaped my mind. I had interest in picking up this set back when WB initially released the Ultimate Superman Collection. I'm big on nostalgia, so I'm sure I'll like it (animated flying sequences and all). Should go nicely with the Batman serials I've already picked up.

 

I have both of them.

I don't care who you are, If you don't think Kirk Alyn wasn't a good Superman For his time then you are just wrong.

 

One thing interesting to me about the Kirk Alyn serials is the heavy reliance on cel-animation for the flying scenes. It's sort of a precurser to the reliance on computer animation today.

Too bad Republic didn't produce the Superman serials, the flying FX used by Republic on Captain Marvel are outstanding!
