The word inspires more virulence when uttered by someone of another race....because it's a racial slur to begin with. A black person calling another black person a "*****" has no meaning for them because it's not derogatory to begin with. It can actually be used as a term of endearment or greeting.

I hope you guys can see that difference, though I know it's hard.

Hey, as a side note question, are there any words that a minority could call a white person that WOULD offend you. Aside of course from common profanity and the like...I mean, do you have a trigger word?

Cracker? Is that one?

How about Honkey?

I'm not trying to be offensive. I'm asking what do you guys feel or associate with those words.

Guy who plays Kramer says some angry things to a heckler. He was speaking what honestly how he felt about the guy. Regardless of what any1 tells him he is allowed to have his viewpoint. I don't care if he thinks that having black skin is a disease. It doesn't make him right it doesn't make him wrong and it doesn't set any1 back because you aren't that individual.

If people are racist let them be racist. i just want to say something about reparations. Here is how i would solve this find out how much a slave cost back then and give out what he would have been paid, had he been paid. Some1 is going to say that is racist and i don't care. If you aren't the person that had such endearments you aren't going to get money from it.

Same to say with the Indians. Guys from Europe came had guns and took over. I don't think they said man this guy has brown skin lets go shoot him, and then take his land. They said that guy has nice land lets take it. Even if the indians were albino the europeans would have still taken their land.

I also engage in an e-mail war with a friend from college where we send each other pictures and/or videos of the sickest, twisted, peverted, degenerate and ****ed up things we can find on the internet.

Seriously, I think I understand about half of what you say, but because you have no frame reference how can you expect to understand someone else's plight. You can't even understand the feeling behind the word.

I would suggest you investigate what would disturub you and then try to apply that to this situation.

Getting heckled is part of being a comedian. There is no justification for the things he said, you don't just turn into some horrible racist just because you were interrupted, hell if the guy had heckled him by running on stage and socking him the things he said wouldn't have been called for.

That's what I didn't understand.

I don't see Richards as having some sort of bully-pit. He wasn't speaking for white people, Americans, or as an intelligent individual. That's why I didn't understand the power comment. He lost that when the n-word came out of his mouth. He wasn't even entertaining enough during his tirade to keep his audience. Most of them, including the white folks, walked out.

It's a shame....
