Guy who plays Kramer says some angry things to a heckler. He was speaking what honestly how he felt about the guy. Regardless of what any1 tells him he is allowed to have his viewpoint. Kramer, to date, has never raged about sticking forks in anybody's ass. That said, I understand that as a member of the attacked minority, it may be tougher to handle for you. Being Jewish, I still can't see the literary merit of Mein Kampf, no matter what the trendies say, and I don't believe that Hitler had any good economic plans.

People, minorities in particular, treat it like it IS "all or nothing."

All I know is, I've got black friends, and I think it's insulting that many MANY other blacks I encounter just consider me racist. There IS a double standard. In the more "ghetto" areas of the world (Where I live around and near), if I treat a black person like anybody else and they don't like it, I'm racist. Happens occasionally.

Funny how cliched (and lame) this sounds, but it's true. I don't see colors. I never was raised to see it. People are just people to me. Yes, other races do things that annoy me, and when it's something that most of that race does, I take issue with the race's behavior as a whole. And I even silently wonder if new people from that race that I meet will be the same way. Everybody does it. Just having the wisdom not to act on your presuppositions without proof is something not everyone has.

We're all just people. I've really never seen it any other way.

I think the biggest insult from Richards was more than just the words. Many people say the words and it doesn't have a hurtful meaning, like rappers or other comedians. But it's clear that Richards truly meant it, and his insinuation that he was superior for being White was outrageous. It's Whites like him that make the rest of us look racist to all the minorities. I've had enough of Blacks expecting to me be racist, which has happened. I hate that I get judged because of what one guy does. As a White male, I'm generally expected to be racist, and it sucks.

As for the people here who decide that any apology from a celebrity is fake.... glad to know you're psychics. Tell you what... you say something you really truly mean, and I'll spit in your face. See how you feel.

Don't lump one person in with others. Just because they MIGHT NOT mean it doesn't mean they don't. For all you know, Richards isn't actually racist and he truly DID have a drug problem or something that made him be so stupid, and maybe he really IS sorry. So let's just write off what actually might be sincere. That does a lot of good....

Lastly, just because my ancestors whipped Blacks, there's no reason I should get kicked to the curb when I've personally done nothing. I prefur to be judged for what I did, not what my ancestors did. And even if I "benefit" from Slavery, it isn't fair for Blacks to get to be racist to Whites because of the past. Blacks want it fair, right? But they still want the right to mistreat Whites if they choose. That ISN'T fair. If I can't be racist, they sure as HELL shouldn't be allowed to. That goes for all other races. Whites are becoming a minority in some ways incidentally. Sure, we shouldn't forget the past, but by punishing Whites for actions that the Whites of today did not do doesn't help anything.

Whites had their chance to use the word and they abused it. They made it a word of oppresion and tyranny. Now it's the black peoples turn to use the N-word and it won't be a word used to instill fear and self-doubt. It will be a word of empowerment and a celebration of survival.
