Kristen Bell will star in When in Rome, a film that Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider, Daredevil) will direct from his own script for Disney, reports Variety.

Gary Foster, Andrew Panay and Rikki Bestall will produce and shooting begins March 31 in New York and Rome.

Bell will play a successful real estate agent in New York who can't find a lasting relationship. When her younger sister impulsively marries in Rome, she flies out for the wedding and, after picking up coins from a reputed "fountain of love," finds an overabundance of suitors waiting for her back home.

Bell, who was part of the "Heroes" cast this past season, will next be seen playing the title role in the Judd Apatow-produced and scripted Universal comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, as well as Fanboys for The Weinstein Company.

She deserves better.

The sad thing about MSJ is he seems to be one of those likable/fun directors for actors to work with. It's because of that reason, I don't see his career failing in the near future.

US, March 24, 2008 - Transformers actor Josh Duhamel and Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder will appear opposite Kristen Bell in When in Rome, an upcoming Disney romantic comedy.
Anjelica Huston and Dax Shepard have also joined the cast of the Mark Steven Johnson-directed flick, The Hollywood Reporter scoops.
The story reportedly centers on Bell's character, a New York curator who is unlucky in love until she steals magical coins from the famed Trevi Fountain in Rome. She soon finds herself pursued by a band of aggressive suitors whose coins she took. The script was penned by David Diamond and David Weissman.

Heder, THR says, will play a street magician who becomes one of Bell's suitors, while Duhamel is the movie's romantic lead. Shepard will portray an aspiring model. And Huston will play Bell's boss, the curator of the Guggenheim.

When in Rome will film in April.

Will Arnett has joined the cast of director Mark Steven Johnson's romantic comedy When in Rome at Disney.

Arnett joins Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Jon Heder, Anjelica Huston and Dax Shepard in the story centering on a love-starved New York curator (Bell) who steals magical coins from the Trevi Fountain in Rome but soon finds herself in a bizarre situation when she is pursued back to New York by a band of aggressive suitors whose coins she took.

Arnett will play an Italian artist who becomes one of the suitors, following Bell to New York.

The movie is scheduled to begin shooting in April.

Danny DeVito has joined Disney's romantic comedy When in Rome, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Mark Steven Johnson is directing "Rome," which centers on a love-starved New York curator (Kristen Bell) who steals magical coins from a famous Roman fountain but soon finds herself in a bizarre situation when she is pursued back to New York by a band of aggressive suitors -- the very people whose coins she took.

DeVito will play one of the suitors.

DeVito joins a supporting cast that already includes Will Arnett, Josh Duhamel, Jon Heder, Anjelica Huston and Dax Shepard. The studio shoots this month in New York.

Not huge on MSJ after Ghost Rider but these are two very likable leads that give me an interest in seeing this.
