‘Krypton’ To Introduce Lobo In Season 2 – Comic-Con

... here is a list of things I hope they add to the show, that would get me instantly interested:

*Green Lanterns. Or even a guardian or 2
*New Gods. I see no reason why there can't be crossover with New Genisis and Apokolips.
*Czarnian's and maybe a young Lobo.

Haha I guess I kinda got my wish. Great news for me as a Lobo fan. I actually think the character would have worked better in Supergirl, but I don't see why they can't share the character.

I guess it will be less self aware and more serious sci fi bounty hunter, but I hope they maintain his humor. Maybe a mix between Yondu and the Predator.

Cameron Welsh had this to say about the show's take on Lobo:

"The main thing to say is that he's obviously a really broad character in the comics, and we have a pretty grounded tone for our show, so in a way it seems an unlikely match, Lobo and our show. And it's almost precisely because of that that we're - when we've done that in the past, it's worked well for us, so that sort of contrast I think will work well for us. I mean, he's not gonna be riding space dolphins or things like that that we've seen in the comics, but we also don't want to introduce Lobo, and have him not be true to the character that has become so popular over the years."

So, it sounds like there will be a bit of a tonal shift when it comes to him, but he'll be also be somewhat toned down to the comics/other media.

"We introduced Brainiac for the first time in live action, Adam Strange for the first time in live action, and the opportunity to do that with Lobo was obviously exciting for us," the show's executive producer, Cameron Welsh, told SYFY WIRE. "He's mostly going to interact with Seg, and he'll be unlike anything Seg has ever encountered before."

So with Brainiac, Zod and Doomsday in play as villains, anyone wondering how Lobo will fit in the picture?

I have a feeling he will play out as an anti hero-ish that is called upon to hunt and kill Doomsday. Most likely do the cliched, clash with the protagonist then team up to fight the bigger threat in Doomsday.

I'm in the UK. Haven't watched any of this yet - tbh the trailers have looked a bit YA to me. Is it any good?

I watched the first 5 episodes for free on SyFy’s website, and didn’t get a chance to watch any more. I really enjoyed what I saw

I’m happy and surprised the series was renewed. Can’t wait to see what other characters from the comics they decide to bring in

Lobo in live action is so ****ing exciting, and hopefully Krypton’s Hawkwoman will be superior to the CW’s Hawkgirl, I don’t think that’ll be that hard to top

I can not wait. I'm looking forward to see how they update and adapt Lobo. I'm guessing he'll be more like the Preadator and Winter Soldier with hopefully some humor and charm.

Not expecting Emmett to get too big. His current physique is fine if there going for the New 52 body type. I'm glad there keeping the facial hair. Could be an interesting hybrid of old school and new school.

I don't want to be a Debbie downer but that kinda looks a bit Cosplay-ish. It's almost too faithful. I expected to so some kind of tech or armor mixed into the classic Lobo look.

I'm sure he'll come kitted out with full armory as the season progresses so I'm still looking forward to seeing him.
