Fox 2000 will fashion the story of the Gucci dynasty into a feature directing vehicle for Ridley Scott. Scott Free will produce with Giannina Facio.

Charles Randolph ("The Interpreter") will write the drama once the WGA strike ends.
Fox 2000 got the project after Paramount Pictures put it in turnaround. The film will chronicle the wild and glamorous story of the Gucci family in the 1970s and '80s, when its 153 shops moved $500 million in product annually.
The catalyst will be Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci who emerged as the unlikely winner of a bloody power struggle to run the family business. Just when Maurizio was on the verge of his greatest success -- a daring fashion show debuting the clothes of newcomer Tom Ford -- his penchant for accumulating enemies caught up with him; Maurizio was gunned down in front of his Milan apartment in 1995.

I'd honestly rather wear it than watch it...........

But Scott is on board, he usually knows what he's doing...........

But that lessens the chance of Monopoly :(

Hmm, like to see how they plan to sell this.
Right now, I'm not sold.

Lady Gaga, Ridley Scott Team for Movie on Gucci Grandson Murder

Lady Gaga is teaming up with Ridley Scott to make a movie about the murder of Guccio Gucci's grandson Maurizio Gucci, the former head of the luxury Italian fashion house.

Lady Gaga will play Patrizia Reggiani, the wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was convicted of orchestrating the hit on her husband. Scott is producing the project with his wife, actress and producer Giannina Scott, and may be directing the project as well. The film has been a long-gestating project for Scott, with details of it first emerging more than a decade ago, with Angelina Jolie once in talks to play the role of Patrizia.

There is no studio distributor attached yet for the film, but Scott is directing The Last Duel period drama with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Adam Driver for Disney-Fox, where his production company Scott Free has a long-standing first-look deal.

This thread title sure is something.

Wow! This project escalated VERY quickly! Hopefully Scott utilizes the DeNrio/Pacino combo to better effect than, you know... The Really Good Jimmy Hoffa Movie Trapped Inside Three Rambling Hours Of An Old Gangster Doing Generic Gangster Stuff

Jesus Christ, this has been in the works since ‘07??

The gold chains over black turtleneck on Gaga are giving me The Rock vibes.

That's impressive.

Whoa!

He became Robert Duvall
