Learning Another Language

I know 3 languages. In Europe, you need to know more than once..because countries are so close together.

I've taken Spanish for 6 years. How they teach it in my district sucks. In 6th and 7th grade, you learn really basic crap. In 8th grade you learn about ever form of verb conjugation. It's too much to fully comprehend in one year. Ever since high school, I've actually forgotten more and more every year. I would have dropped before I started for this year but I figured it would be easier to get by knowing nothing. That way I wouldn't have to take it in college where it would likely be more serious.

I've been learning German on my own for a while now and I'd like to think that I'm doing pretty ok so far, but it's kinda hard to tell, because I never got the chance to talk to anyone in german.

I'm in Spanish III. The teacher is crazy but understand a little. I will not be taking Spanish is college.:o

I took French I, II, and III only because I wanted the Advanced Diploma. I'll brag and say that I took it, but that's about it.
If anything, I want to learn Korean or Japanese, so I can understand when my mom speaks it. I can only slightly understand Korean.

POP SPANISH QUIZ!!!!:
Tranlate to English, or any other language you want:
Al ver lo que pasaba, los vecinos llamaron la policia.

I speak English, Spanish and German. Right now I am trying to perfect my German. After that...I'm thinking Japanese and Italian.

I know how to say the following in 15 languages.

Get your hands off my wife.
Can I have my wallet back please.
How much for 1 night with your sister?

Your wife lets you say the third response?

So does anyone have a particular learning method they'd recommend? I've read reviews on the Rosetta Stone cd's and most of them were bad. I'm thinking of trying Daniel Tammet's program.

I was taking classes locally and using this book series, which is very good:
