Dark Phoenix Learning from the mistakes of X-Men The Last Stand

You forgot to include Colossus, Beast, Havok, Banshee and Emma. Soon Dazzler/Sunfire.

Queen of taking screentime and importance from the actual X-Men!

Gurl, there is probably more.

I just remebered this:

And Toad was also wasted in DoFP.

They could be in a new Brotherhood led by either Eric (more likely) or maybe Raven.

I was just mentioning the regular mainstays of the X-Men.

This thread presumes that the narrative decisions made in The Last Stand were "mistakes", which is entirely subjective.

Dark Phoenix doesn't have to "learn" anything from The Last Stand; it'll succeed or fail on its own merits alone.

give us better villians?
Show better how abilities could be conmntrolled or used?

not to much but not so less mutants?

theoretically the "alien" will be the pheonix I understand in material form?

If they pull a good villlian and scenario relating to the last Wolverine movie and input Mister Sninister or miss sinister or them both, a new version of that female wolverine villian , sabertooth and others in it Im ok with it.
Maybe sentinels could be used once more but by someone else or something else?

Its the third part of this series but maybe they plan to pull of a harry potter with the young stars? 3 more movies with new villians and mutants in the plot?

Jean could survive? and get a upgrade.

Magneto? good or bad? or wicked? allways wanted to see him and Xavier on that dino island without powers?

Maybe Emma Frost could come back or her daughter? she was a worthy oponent for the Pheonix.

send a new version of X-23 in time to help the X-man to save time?

Dont know if they could now cast younger versions of Roque, Ice-man and Kitty?
(All could help battling Jean)

Im lately wathing old animated series like Wolverine and the X-man, X-man evolution.

What would I like to see? if the wolverine actor changes, make him get younger maybe by accident or powers of other mutant? maybe pheonix could do that for a joke. Then we could get more X-men movies and it would make good sense.
Also I want Wolverine to meet the Hulk, Captain america, spiderman , deadpool at some moment.

Wolverine in that "yellow" costume no, but in a "white" and "black" one would be perfect.

Staying true to the characters they've set up in the previous three films would be nice. In X3 Wolverine, Professor X, and Magneto did not feel like the same characters from X1, and 2.

We all know this is not the first time the Fox X-Men movies have tried to adapt the Dark Phoenix story, so what can this movie learn from X-Men The Last Stand?

What can this movie do to make this story fresh, after the last botched attempt to tell it?

Add in more lore..Like the stuff from the Mcarran crystal, the Shiar (iirc from the novels she was tied to it somehow)..

Whatever they did in X3: The Last Stand, they should NOT do.

This new movie must be a complete opposite of 3, otherwise it will be even worse than X-Men: Apocalypse.

In fact, in my humble opinion, they should stay away from Dark Phoenix and the original trilogy X-Men characters altogether.

Introducing Jean Grey was a colossal mistake. She is essentially a God so there is no villain that can scare the X-Men anymore.

I wish they would just adapt the stories from the Joss Whedon Astonishing X-Men and beyond...those were more interesting. I'd rather have Emma Frost than Jean Grey.

But if they insist on keeping Jean Grey, then she should be team leader, NOT Cyclops. Either her or Wolverine.

There is just far more interesting storylines than the Dark PhoeniX Saga. Its not like the X-Men comics only had ten major stories and they need to rehash things.

I really wish they would have use the Phoenix as an evolution of Jean’s powers instead of a MPD. What do you do when your power grows out of ones control? Do all mutants have a secondary mutation? After the events of Apocalypse is the world ready for another seemingly God like mutant? What about the people that seek to use that power for their own good? Those are things I want to see explored. The Phoenix plot is about two teams fighting for control of Jean; the X-Men want to save her while the villains want to use her, but “no one can control the power of the Phoenix.”

Not when the writer of X3 is attached to direct and write.

Simon Kingberg wasn't the sole writer on 'THE LAST STAND', and he had Tom Rothman and his team going up against him, as they weren't keen on the Dark Phoenix storyline. And with Bryan Singer off to direct 'SUPERMAN RETURNS', they got especially bossy. And let's not forget that the movie was rushed into production.
