Take a Stand! All X-Fans read!

Money speaks louder then fans...unfortunatly :(

I will contemplate writing a letter, primarily about x3 can not be the end and that cyclops showed if they were to make an x4 even though Jimmy Marsden isnt a big name.

Who's to say that if the right got back to Marvel they would even do X4 and do it justice? They could hire some off the wall director with bad casting and make a bad movie themselves. They would be worried about making money and not just pleasing the fans because general audiences have to like it as well!

i think the only possible way we can save the x-series is if marvel gets the rights back. that way there will be an x4. I really hope an X4 is on its way..:csad:
wait til 2020 ;p

At the end of the day, Fox wanted to make money and they did. *****ing about it now isn't going to get anyone anywhere and will be nothing more than a waste of our time.
We all bought into it. We lived on anticipation, and made Fox a fortune running to see that film. We couldn't even stop ourselves buying the dvd in the hopes that we may see some improvement.

I adore the story of the film. In fact, I think ut was the best storyline of all three. But I just hate the choppy rushed and unfinished feel to it.

^and your a Rogue fan?

Well we all have our opinions. :o

Exactly. Avi Arad, Stan Lee and Chris Claremont were all involved in this production and look what they allowed to happen. Also, let's not forget Avi's tirad against the fans, calling them *bleeping* idiots. His respect for the fans is on par with Rothman's which is none.

Yes the theatrical run and DVD made money for them but its potential was a lot more. $234 million domestic box office for a film that cost them $210 is not a huge success compared to the profit margins of the first two films. Overseas box office and DVD sales go to other distributors and not directly into Fox's coffers. So while those numbers contribute to the overall gross, they aren't part of Fox's net profit. Infact with creative accounting this movie probably ended up as a loss for its investors.

Stan Lee and Claremont really have no power whatsoever when it comes to these films. The main ones are Avi Arad, Rothman, Kinberg, and Penn who allowed this to happen.

If Stan Lee really had any say on what he wanted X3 to be, more than likely we would've received a better and more emotional film. As much as I love Stan Lee and appreciate his contributions to the world of comics, there's only so much he can actually say and do. The guy is probably satisfied just to see his work on the big screen.

I will say this though, and this is from my own perspective, this film isn't as good as the supporters make it out to be because I've seen quite a few copies still on the shelf at Blockbuster, Sycamore Video, FYE, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart.

Bottom line this film isn't breaking any big time records like a Spider-Man, POTC, Batman Begins, Lord of the Rings, or Revenge of the Sith.

I'm not surprised that Stan and Chris would forsake their integrity for a paycheck. I realize their roles are mostly ornamental and they have no actual power, but they still aligned themselves with this production thereby giving it their stamp of approval. Although Stan's compliments about Bryan at least shows the proper respect unlike some other veterans from X1 & 2.

I like the storyline in principle. I don't like the finished effect of the film. Rogue should have been a principle part of the cure storyline, and I don't care what anyone says, she wasn't. And the Dark Phoenix should have been handled properly, or better yet, left for another film. But the Dark Phoenix and Cure storylines were always my favourite from the comics, so the film had the makings of being incredible.

i agree.

really? well if you get an X4 or a DC of X3 then you can kiss my @$$ but if you want to be lazy and not write and give it a try you can blow off when something happens.

If it's about some getting more deleted scenes than others, this was a technical difficulty. Lucky one at that for those fortunate ones, but these scenes were never meant to be released until the second edition. So, I'm fine with that.

I have to agree. Why all the bitching when the ads clearly said "10 deleted scenes"??? I consider getting 21 deleted scenes a sweet bonus.

Borderline irrational whining only accomplishes one thing at this point. It makes the powers that be tune out the fanboy community altogether. I'm sure X3's inevitable massive final DVD sales will be rationaled away by the fanboys that hate Fox but it's really getting harder and harder to take some fans seriously.

Overall, like most people (who aren't stuck up fanboys, jealous Superman fans or Cyclops fanatics), I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed most of this movie. Could it have been better in parts? (see deleted scenes that shouldn't have been cut) Probably, but I liked what I got nonetheless.
