Led Zeppelin to Reunite !!!!!!!!!!

Still a rumor at this point. I sort of wish they'd just leave it alone, though. Plant can't sing for sh1t anymore, especially in his high range. I think it will be a letdown. They should just let their memory and mystique carry on as it has all these years.

lol, I keep seeing this referred to as Led Zeppelin "re-uniting".

I guess it's kind of like when Queen "re-united". lol

Without John Bonham, it is not Led Zeppelin.
I've seen Page and Plant. It was really good ('cause Jimmy had a hired gun playing all his solos for him. :o)

This is Page, Plant and Jones...calling themselves "Led Zeppelin...if they do, which I can't see happening, after reading all the interviews about why they quit when Bonham died.

Really just semantics though. Led Zeppelin can in fact, never reunite.
This becomes clear when you watch the very good, and yet, comparatively suck-ass dudes they've played Zeppelin songs with for all these years.

I hope they don't get some "nu rock" guy to be in the band in place of Bonham.

That's not too bad then I guess. Better than anyone else I could think of.

It's the next best thing to John Bonham being alive.

they should have patrick keeler to take over for bonham.

Agreed.

These old bands need to sit back, & let their legacy live with out taint. Look at what poor Ozzy did with his legendary status. He pissed it away on a reality show.:whatever:

They just need to lay back, & realise their time has pased, but they are still considered the makers of metal. & leave it at that.

But not all old bands ruin their legacy. Look at Iron Maiden

Maiden doesn't have near the Legacy that Zeppelin does, but I see what you are saying. I think the difference is Maiden never really stopped playing. Slayer is another example.

My guess is that their legacy is fading as they get older and the latest generations' taste in music gets crappier which means their finances good also be fading.

Are they just perfoming somewhere or are they going to release new material?

From what I've heard it's a concert. And there's going to be another unnecessary greatest hits album, if you didn't get those 2 massive box sets from the early 90s, or the 2 greatest hits albums they released a couple years ago with the band dressed up as astronauts.

They left a legacy of laughter.

Ruuuuuuuunnn to the Hiiillllssss[/Ethel Merman]

I don't really see the need to re-unite, aside from making more money, my Led Zepplin CDs and my dad's records aren't going to disappear if Led Zepplin never comes back.

Heh, they could hardly remember the words to their songs during some of their reunions. :oldrazz:
