Issue #50 with the "first" fight between batman and joker was pretty good. Though I prefer The man who laughs to it AND Batman #1.

#50 may have been the best moment of the series, and it was a great series. The 1990s and early 2000s were a good time for Batman comics. Shadow of the Bat, Legends of the Dark Knight, early Gotham Knights, Birds of Prey, and even pretty good stuff in the two mainline books. Robin got his own ongoing, as did Nightwing. Catwoman got a series worthy of her character. Good times.
