Less than 500MB left on hard drive.

This message box has been popping up yesterday & this morning. Downloaded from PSN store, Dinocrisis and Dinocrisis 2, and had to of course make internal hard drive for PSOne games. Now I've deleted save game data. NHL 09 and Mercenries 2. Still box comes up. I can delete the trophies for both...would that help?

And my brothers save game data of Duke Nukem is gone. The trophies are still there. Synced up all trophies again onto server. The PS3 he has we got in Dec of 2008.

Save game data and trophies takes up a really small amount of harddrive space (in fact I don't think trophies even take up space once they're synced). What you want to do is check the harddrive/system data which I believe is the top icon on the game category of the XMB.

There'll probably find a whole bunch of game installs that you'll have kept from pretty much every game you've played in the last 3 years. Some will be as big as 5GB, so check each one and clear anything that takes up too much space which you're not currently playing.

Yeah I saw you mention "Saved" game data and that stuff is pretty small for the most part. Scroll to the top of the Game XMB and check out your Game Data that Electro mentioned that is installed on your system. Check to see which ones are pretty big in size and delete ones you don't need.

Then maybe if you have demos, videos, check those out too.

you can always just get a new HD with more GB. that's what i'm planning on doing once i go back for Thanksgiving.

my friend knows a guy that can easily transfer all the stored info from one HD to the other. HDs for the PS3 aren't that expensive. i've seen some 500GB go for around $80-$100 on ebay.

bah, I paid like 50-60 for my 2.5" sata notebook laptop for my PS3
