Lethal Weapon V

We already have a Lethal Weapon series that against all odds is actually good so I don't see a need to reboot/revive the Lethal Weapon movie franchise.

I like how Lethal Weapon 4 ended. That ending brings a smile to my face. Everyone found their joy, it was a good film.

I know Glover is an old man, but when did he did he start to speak with a whisper with a slight lisp? Bless him.

It's a shame Glover is too old, because I honestly wouldn't mind a Shane Black written and directed LW5. Gets back to the urban western idea that the original film had, and with these two as older men, you have the Unforgiven flavor to it. Black's treatment for this sounded ****ing excellent.

EDIT: ****, Glover is 70. The man is younger than Harrison Ford. I thought he was close to 80. So yeah, bring him back.

Yeah, Lethal Weapon 4's ending always felt like a great ending to the entire franchise. And, being completely serious, the final fight against Wah Sing Ku is one of my all-time favorite final fights in any film.

100% agree

I still haven't seen the fourth film. It just looked too goofy and humorous for a Lethal Weapon film. I'll give it a shot some day, but these movies went further and further away from the original intent of Black of these modern day gunslingers and lost its edge.

That fight is brutal as hell. Man they were so overmatched.

Indeed. But when they start landing successful blows on him, and he's a bloody mess, it's like when Rocky cuts Drago for the first time.

That shot of Riggs and Murtagh when they're about to square up with Jet Li's character is still great.

I had seen the first one 10s of years ago, but I watched the sequels for the first time 3-5 years ago. They were all on HBO. I think all of them are good. If I had time I could marathon all 4 movies. I think the worse might be 3 but it's still good

Nah, might be a little bit more comedy in there, but it is still a good adition to the franchise. Give it a shot, I think you'll like it. The way they progressed their character is actually quite nice.

Tribute to Richard Donner – Riggs and Murtaugh Reunite :lmao:

I saw Maverick with Mel Gibson last night for the first time, and that small Danny Glover cameo and them exchanging weird looks like "I know you from somewhere" was awesome. Plus the "I'm getting too old for this *****".

Yeah I mentioned that video on the previous page but didn't post it b/c of the F-bomb Gibson dropped at the end. Still a hilarious video regardless.

Man I loved the first two films. Great to see them together again.

‘Lethal Weapon’ 5? Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Dick Donner Exploring It At Warner Bros. http://deadline.com/2017/10/lethal-weapon-mel-gibson-danny-glover-richard-donner-at-warner-bros-1202196260/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter …

EXCLUSIVE: It looks like the band just might back together. Deadline hears that Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Richard Donner are all huddling on the possibility of doing another film for the the Lethal Weapon franchise. In the scenario we’ve heard Donner would direct and Channing Gibson (Lethal Weapon 4) would script.
There are many moving parts, but we’ve heard that all are on board and exploring another film
. It would move forward, of course, at Warner Bros., the studio that has brought audiences four in the franchise. The series was a major hit for the studio under the Bob Daly, Terry Semel regime when it first launched in 1987 and together the four have pulled in $955.2M worldwide. The last one was released in 1998. The film also spawned a TV series as well.

can i say hell yes.Donner directing film again and both gibson and glover back
count me in.though they would likely have to have sceniro where riggs needs
help form now retired murtough.

it is shock it has taken gibson this long in his carrer rehabiltion to be open to it.

any prject that can get donner to go behind the camera again is good thing.

I’d watch it in a heartbeat, and I love Lethal Weapon 4 so I have no problems with them bringing back that same writer. That being said, they do literally seem too old now, Donner included.

I don’t think this is a good idea. They’re too old now and I can’t help it; every time I see Gibson in anything these days it just turns my stomach, knowing the type of person he really is.

They were "too old for this ****" 20 years ago.

Lol yeah. At this point, Glover should be like, “I’m too ancient for this ****.”

How are they even gonna....
