Lupita would be a great choice, but with Black Panther and Star Wars 8 being released within 6-7 of each other the shooting schedule will likely overlap.
We do not know if Lupita is going to be in Star Wars 8. For all we know, she's one and done in the Star Wars films.
I think Hunter would make a more interesting pro-Wakandan character. Monica Lynn is likely the competent black character. And I feel W'Kabi would be reduced in role by Shuri as well. I have no objection to Shuri. I think she can make for an interesting character if done right, but I also don't think she's necessarily if she doesn't fit.

)If Shuri appears (and particularly if Marvel got someone like Nyong'o), I'll literally be counting down the minutes until she replaces T'Challa.
In what sense? As in making her their premier black female character (which isn't a bad thing at all)? If so, she doesn't need to be Black Panther for that to happen. If 'inhuman' is replacing 'mutant' in MCU, I see no reason why Marvel wouldn't have the 'bright' idea of pushing Shuri as their Storm.
The Black Panther mantle is unique in that its literally a title. A title that has passed down from generation and generation, and even had women donning in it in the past. It isn't inherently exclusive to T'Challa. We do need a strong black female superhero (really, we need multiple). But I'd love to see them utilize ones with unique stories, their own agency. I'm sure many will disagree with me, but I just find gender swaps of male heroes (generally) to be "me-too". Their gender is their appeal and little else. Characters like Monica Rambeau, Misty Knight, Ladyhawk, Silhouette (I know she's a mutant, but as she was a primarily a New Warrior, maybe Marvel still has the rights in a SW/QS-type scenario).
T'Challa has such a rich history to draw from. In the comics, after decades in action, it makes a little more sense, it shakes up the status quo and allows for writers to put a twist on things. In the films, however, I'm not ready for even the allusion of a switch after a few appearances. I want to bask in the awesomeness of 'the' Black Panther as long as possible. (Similarly, I'm not terribly excited at the prospect of Captain Falcon or Bucky Cap in the MCU; Evans is doing a great job.)
Shuri has been a victim of bad writing after she first got BP mantle in Deadliest of the Species. Other books gave her good moments, but they were far and few inbetween. This hasn't helped her case in the eyes of many fans, BP fans included.I also feel like Shuri, particularly, is often written in the perfunctory stereotype of an 'angry black woman'. Catty. Aggressive. Obstinant. Coveting the BP mantle. Seeing a Monica Rambeau serving as a Harbor Patrol officer, getting powers, using it for good, going through a true hero's journey. That would be awesome, and the type of story that truly serves the audience. She could be the Ant-Man type sleeper hit of a future Phase if they really wanted to commit to it.
Shuri just kind of whines in the background until she gets what she's always been covetous of in a desperate moment and fills the mantle of something pre-established. Very easy to appear cut-rate that way, which, imho, is a disservice to everyone. (And as much as I love Jim Rhodes in the comics, we've seen Marvel do exactly that to him in the MCU; He's not much more a cut-rate Iron Man and often the butt of a joke or easily being defeated.)

I think T'Challa's sister should be in the movie (which isn't a given, she's a recent creation). I don't think she should become Black Panther. And I don't mean save it for later, I don't think she should become Black Panther period. There are other characters to focus on more, while having her become the leader makes her the center of the story.
Boseman has a 5-movie deal as Black Panther, the and she should not even be considered for wearing the mantle until the 4th or 5th film, and it should be temporary at best (T'Challa recovering from illness/injury).
I prefer Lupita as a Dora Milaje than Shuri.
My top choices are Tika Sumpter and Rutina Wesley.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the Dora Milaje will be played by glorified extras. You really don't need great actors for them.
Any competent black actress of a suitable age and can do a convincing accent would suffice. She wouldn't necessarily have to be an African native.
That being said, with the way T'Chaka was cast out of the blue, I wouldn't be surprised if Shuri just shows up in a BP film with no casting hype whatsoever.
Now off the top off my head, I'm thinking maybe Keke Palmer could be a suitable choice.
Chadwick and Tika used to date, that would be awkward lol
Teyonah Parris or Rutina Wesley.
Yeah I could see her being planted in as a cameo.

How about Gugu Mbatha-Raw from Concussion? I think this is a very good up and coming actress but I am not sure if she has the right look (skin too light?) to be Chadwick's sister though.
