Lewis Pullman is Bob / Sentry*

I'm glad the latest TV spot highlighted how powerful he is. I was worried they were going to dumb him down power wise.

The leaked picture of him doesn't look great but it's a still so they never do.

It can't be worse than the grey sweater in the posters*

With the Sentry being the only reason I saw this movie, I was quite satisfied with the portrayal of the character. I have only just a few gripes.

One thing, the hair dye joke. Unnecessary, just should have made his hair blonde from the start. I understand that Valentina was manufacturing a new hero like a brand. But it was just cringe.

Secondly no mention of Linda. I feel that was a missed opportunity, to give a little more backstory.

And then no energy based light powers. I really would have liked to see that in action. Would really make Sentry stand out more than just being strong and flying.

I liked the actor and he was the best character in the movie.

However, this would have been better if this was a Sentry movie in the first place, so they could have dwelved more into the character's past. I'm not really interested to see whats next for Red Guardian, Yelena, Ghost, John Walker and Bucky in Doomsday, but Sentry interacting with the other MCU characters should be interesting, given how powerful the character could be.

The costume looks okay, but its not as sleek as I wanted it to be*

After Yelena, Sentry was the biggest highlight of the movie for me. I loved the dynamic between him and Yelena, so I hope they keep developing that in future movies. It's kind of a more successful version of Natasha's dynamic with Hulk. But whereas Natasha/Hulk was a bit clunky and sorta felt like it came out of nowhere in their second movie together, the Yelena/Sentry dynamic feels much more organic.

And then no energy based light powers. I really would have liked to see that in action. Would really make Sentry stand out more than just being strong and flying.

He also extensively uses telekinesis/molecular manipulation. I think they avoided energy blasts because they didn't want his powers to overlap with Captain Marvel.

For those who have read the Sentry beyond the Bendis stuff, I have to say this did a great job of blending all the takes on the character. Also, explored depression impressively well for a cinematic superhero film.
