Shame we won't get the Adriel episode as it sounded interesting, but overall really looking forward to season 2.
Yeah that's too bad. More McAvoy is always welcome. I haven't read the books but I understand it wasn't part of the second one so I guess it's not that bad. I really hope this gets a final season that also contains the standalone episode.
I thought countries were allowing film crews to start production again. So why cant they film it as soon as McAvoy is available, and release it when its finished? Do it as a holiday special or movie in between season 2 & 3.
Looks rear, just hope people are prepared for no Iorek.
Well I hope this "Great War" is an actual war and not a single 40 minute battle.
Looks like they turned the magic and fantasy dial to 10 this season.
That new trailer was great. Little to know Iorek will be a struggle.
But I remember less from the 2nd book than I do the first, so hopefully have some surprises in store.
I'm really looking forward to this season, but man Lorek was my favorite character from last season and to hear he won't be in this season that much if it all just sucks all around IMO.
I wish this series had the budget/cast of the movie. So far it still looks less than it could be.
It was mainly set up but I enjoyed the first episode of the new season.
Did I miss the announcement that Bella Ramsey would be in this season? Didn't expect to look up and see Lyanna Mormont on the show.
Holy crap was that her! Knew I recognised her
I liked the first episode. (and hello, Lyanna Mormont) Hopefully it lived up to book fans expectations, I always feel somewhat lost not knowing the source material here.
It’s been years since I read the 2nd book so I can’t remember much personally apart from major plot points, but I enjoyed the first episode.
Season 2 has been immensely satisfying thus far imo. A really pleasant surprise.
Big fan of Season 2 so far. Season 1 was excellent and the standards been kept.
I felt a little lost in Mrs. Coulter's scenes. It started to remind of the political aspect of Star Wars. Still really enjoyed the second episode though. Loved Lyra meeting the scholar.
‘His Dark Materials’ Renewed For Season 3 At HBO & BBC – Deadline
Very happy this is getting a third season. I honestly may have to rewatch Season 2 because I feel there are plot points I may have missed, but honestly, glad this show will continue. Even though I don't know the source material, I get a real sense of wonder and adventure from watching this show.
Glad that they are able to finish out the series properly.
