If there was a way that allowed you to function/live without sleeping would you do it? This means that one would never get tired and would be awake all the time.

Having sex and then not falling a sleep straight after??
You bet ya. hell yeah!

I adore sleep, and try to get it as much as possible.

My brother, on the other hand, has, in fac, proven this theory correct.. kind of.

I've seen him go days in a row on a few hours sleep. Granted, it's not no sleep at all. But the kid just gets a bug and programs recklessly.

His website's look teh great, though.

I get 3 hours of sleep a day and drink 9 or 10 large coffees a day, so it almost seems like I'm approaching that dream!

I'd prefer to not need to eat. Sleeping is free. Buying food costs money that I'm increasingly short on.

stay awake 24/7? I think I'll go crazy :hyper:

at looking at the title of this thread i was like :wow:

but after reading that i would never get tired i was like :wow:

i don't know, i think it would get pretty boring being up ALL the time

That's the best part (kinda)

I have a frend who agrees.

Seriously, he fell asleep one night, and his girl friend leaned over on him, and he said "don't touch me."

He gave her a pink-slip the next week.

You'd go insane. Trust me. I've gone a whole week with no sleep and it was torture.

I think he means that if there was a way of not needing to- so you wouldn't get tired or go insane or get the shakes or anything else. Literally, removing the physiological/psycological need. I'd do it, although I'd prefer to do it with food.

lol, i (kind of) agree

the post-sex relaxing sleep/mid-afternoon nap is fantastic

i can't imagine how productive the world would be if we didn't need sleep. there could be a world stock-market, and people could do business at all hours of the night. medical personnel who already work 24-30 hour shifts would really benefit ... but i also think it would be really boring for the non-business/medical people.

and plus, how would you recover from a rough night out? just be super drunk/nauseous for 8 hours? i think not.

I wonder if it would stop people drinking?
