one time i was trying to sleep and i had closed my eyes and the lights were off...though i could still see some of the moonlight through the window on my eyelids. all the sudden it went dark and then light again and my g/f laying next to me said "hmm...". i asked what she saw and she told me i wouldn't believe her but that is was a black swirly thing that swirled/crawled across the ceiling real fast and disappeared.

It wasnt a spector...your g/f saw a spider...simple as that ^^
Or a figment of her imagionation

I've seen one run across my ceiling...it was a wolf spider.
I have a loft bed, so i'm close to the cieling
