Not a gamer myself but my son and daughter have played Halo, Call of Duty, etc with friends on split screens fairly often.

I once downloaded and played an emulator of Nintendo DS. I liked it.

They're a fun if somewhat nonsensical weapon. Not nearly as effective as a variable sword.
