Limewire and Windows Vista

Why can I not download this Program?

Also when I close one window, a lot of other windows close also, even though they are not on the same tab....

What gives?

I have Windows Vista, and I cannot download Limewire.

I do not like Windows Vista, anyone know how to work around Vista. It will also not allow me to go on other boards..

When I try, it shuts down the page and everyother page also.

The program isn't illegal, but you can use it illegally.

limewire embeds spyware in its software so i would suggest finding an alternative p2p.

something like bearshare or warez would be much more suitable for whatever tasks you need them for.

When you downloaded Limewire where are you getting it from? If you are able to download the .exe file and you go to install what errors are you getting?

The real problem is Vista. What you need to do, is grab Vista by the balls, and throw it out the window.

When I go to download... it shuts my Internet Explorer down...

all the windows....

I have heard about the problems with Vista but this is rediculous

i have vista with limewire- works fine for me.

Is there a specific vista version to download? You may be downloading an XP version but thats all I can think of

A) Limewire is basically used for Pedos as its CP central.
B) Vista has no problem with limewire, but you may have parental controls or using a non-administrator account so you cannot install problems.
C) You may have it so your firewall auto-blocks the connection to the Limewire network called gnutella
D) Learn to Torrent.
E) All else fails get a Mac, switch to XP, or simply use Ares Galaxy.

If you absolutely must use the Gnutella network check out Frostwire. It's an open source clone of Limewire Pro. You'd be better off checking out Bittorrent though.

you know limewire accepts torrents as well!
secondly it depends on your purposes. If you want to download full big sound or video files then torrent is best. If its a 3-4 minute soundfile a limewire search would be more appropriate.
lastly not everyone can just 'get a mac' admiral moneybags

I'd also suggest to the OP that it may be an issue of having too many windows open that the CPU can't handle. It happened to me for a week after I first got vista. No program would start if I had another window open. More accurately it would start and then close immediately.

Yes but limewire sucks as a bittorrent client and is banned and most if not all private trackers.
