Linkin Park is Back : Minutes to Midnight

You know, I've changed my mind about the new album.
Even though I'd still put Meteora and Hybrid Theory in front of this, I like the mellow sound (even if they sound generic). I've been listening to softer music, lately, so this was about the right time for this album to kick in.

This thread makes me sad, for a few reasons...

1. I am a huge Linkin Park fan (they are my second favorite group, behind only Bone Thugs-N-Harmony), and there is much Linkin Park bashing in this thread :( These guys are good damnit!

2. Minutes To Midnight is indeed, my least favorite Linkin Park album. Although, it does have some songs that I enjoy quite a lot. But overall, the album just isn't all that great. Change for the sake of change is not a good thing. They should have tried to expand on what made them good in the first place, instead of abandoning it altogether just because they were tired of some "nu-metal" label.

3. I was supposed to be going to Projekt Revolution today, but my friends flaked at the last minute, giving me no time to find someone else to go with, so I had to take my tickets back :( So instead of sitting up, rocking out to Linkin Park, I'm here posting on SHH :(

exactly!!!!! they should've focused on making better songs with better content. abandoning what made you popular in the first place is not a good move.

The album title is an Iron Maiden rip-off :cmad:

Yes it is!

Also, please tell me at this stage in their career unlike Korn, there not still crying like babies about relationship/growing up problems.

Screw that! It's almost like going to a movie, your watching the bands. You should have just went by yourself.
