Trini sadly died in a car accident some time go. Kimberley (Amy Jo Johnson) had a fairly successful acting career.

Everything I've heard about the early years of MMPR seems to indicate that it was an absolute nightmare of a project for anyone working on it. Obviously some had worse experiences than others (JDF, for instance, seems to count it as the highlight of his career.) but generally speaking it was way too popular for its own good and a lot of people got burned because of it.

Amy worked on Felicity and Flashpoint as well as a Disney TV movie Susie Q. Walter has done voice work for other Power Rangers shows and did a movie about Backyard Wrestling called Backyard Dogs

Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly) and David Yost (Billy) are still besties to this day (probably only two of the originals that have remained close). They are often seen together and recently did a webshow Q&A for Amy's YouTube/Website. I often think if he wasn't gay, they'd be married now. t:

She wasn't stalked at a convention. It was the fan mail she got when she was doing MMPR, like from prison inmates and such, and that made her wary of doing conventions. (She likes meeting people who go to her performances and such.) She did break her convention 'cherry' with last March's Lexington Comic Con and had a spacial meet 'n' greet/Q&A event. (She and her sister even crashed the con floor in Spider-Woman and Black Cat cosplay.) She had a blast doing the Lexington Comic Con... so I think she's going to do more conventions whenever she's not doing TV or directing her passion projects.

Walter Jones, David Yost, and JDF do the convention circuit regularly. And starting in July, Austin St. John (Jason) will be doing it as well.

It's a safe bet they'll go with Jason, Billy, Zack, Kimberly, and Trini. People remember the original six, not so much Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Kat.

Not if they're doing a little satire regarding it. I just don't want it to be like the Lost in Space adaptation where they just sucked all the ****ing life out of the concept.

I could understand making the visors clear, but taking them out completely? I'm imagining an entire sequence of putty's poking them in the eyes.

It's so weird that they didn't even redesign the helmets to look good without the visors. It's just the regular design with the visors taken out, and it looks horrible. Hard to believe they actually shot a ton of footage this way.

If the Power Rangers film was high quality and progressive, they could definitely get those kinds of great actors involved. The director and writer quality will be a good indication of the kind of quality they're able to pay for.
