Little Dove: The Sansa Stark thread.

Haven't read the books but I hope she doesn't start ****ing little finger next season.

Martin did tease that the next book would have something "really controversial" in it if I remember correctly. I'm wondering if "Sansa banging Littlefinger" might be said thing?

It was GRRM's friend Elio Garcia who said there was a chapter that 'some' 'might' find controversial, which was blown up by the website reporting it into a "sure-to-be-controversial" chapter. Which was the chapter GRRM just released on his website, where nothing controversial happens.

Elio subsequently clarified that the controversy he had in mind was SanSan shippers being annoyed at her not thinking about him at all in that chapter.

Not sure why but really one of the characters ive always been drawn to. Interested and scared to see what will come of her...

I think she will take her mothers place somewhere next season and be called lady stoneheart cause she is so angry and tired of being used.

Well having scene the whole season, yeah her storyline was crap this season.

I like how last season ended with "Darth Sansa" and the actress and writers talking about how Sansa was through with being a victim and would be playing the game, and then the next season her story is all about her being victimized even worse than before, never once even attempting to manipulate anybody or formulate a plan, and then failing to flee for her life and getting rescued by Theon.

Even Sophie in her interviews basically admitted this was nothing like what she expected Sansa to be doing in season 5.

It would be interesting if She this season met Gendry and in the end there is a Baratheon and Stark union only its not the one Sansa ever planned on. Gendry i think would be a the man she deserved he would not appear too be a white night but he could be air and King.

Where the hell is littlefinger?

Sansa is one of those characters where they either need to start doing something with her or just kill her off and be done with it. In the course of five seasons:

- Her direwolf was executed for a "crime" it didn't commit.
- She watched her father get beheaded after being led to believe that he'd live if he confessed.
- She was engaged to a psychopath who forced her to stare at her father's mounted head, stripped her in front of an audience, and otherwise systematically tortured her both physically and mentally.
- She was continuously told about her various family members' deaths in the most casual and insulting ways possible.
- She was wed to Tyrion (which wasn't bad in of itself, but for her it sucked).
- She was nearly raped and murdered in the streets of King's Landing.
- She was nearly killed by her aunt.
- She was married to Ramsay Bolton and consequently raped and beaten.

I've had enough of the Sansa torture porn myself. The character is a walking punching bag. And when it seems she's taken a step forward, she then takes two steps back. After five seasons, it's time to **** or get off the pot.

I think she would feel more in command if had loyal men at her back who would kill if anyone would dare touch her. She needs the confidence of safety and not the fake kind Littlefinger gave her.

I wonder if Theon might serve as that for her next season? It would make for several strides towards his actual redemption.

Yeah they kind of shortchanged him this season to. The WF arc was ultimately HIS in the book. But as a consequence of putting Sansa in that role, he become a tertiary character in his own storyline, and then they bungled her to.

LF i am sure will kill ramsey slowly because he ramsey will be dumb enough to mention how many times he deflowered Sansa who was LF untouched reminder of a young cat and LF will snap and show his true face. Which is worse then ramsey.

i don't care about littlefinger at all. i feel like i'm the only one

here's hoping for her to catch up with Brienne and Pod next season and go from there. she has the knowledge that her brothers are out there somewhere and despite everything she's endured, i don't think she would go without trying to find them somehow

Truer words have never been spoken. Theon's arc in ADWD might have been the most emotional storyline in the books and they really screwed it over by putting Sansa in that situation. It hurts Sansa's character and hurts Theon's character. Overall it was just a stupid change.

There is a report that GRRM said someone theorized the end of the book. Red Team Review thinks in the Sansa may sit the Iron Throne in the end. If you think about it there is sense in it. Show starts with her wanting to be Queen. She is truly learning how to play the Game. Let everybody else fight it out.

Here this lovely girl is the seeming whipping boy of everyone , I can see perverse Justice served.
Hail Queen Sansa first of her name.

Is anyone else hoping that Sansa meets the GraveDigger aka Hound. Cause i think everyone wants Hound to either meet her or Arya again one more time if in fact he is not dead.

I'd read that Sansa's arc was supposed to be really interesting and that she would be doing some really clever fighting back this season. Instead she gets similar treatment to when she was Joffrey's plaything. :csad: Maybe what they were talking about is still to come then.

Saw this on tumblr...

I'd swear Sansa's line about dying while there's some of her left was a Reek line from the books. It sounds like something he'd have said later on.

Did you hear that from the writers or was it just some internet rumor?
