I think Bebop could easily work as a live action film. I doubt it will though.

If they make a movie or a series of movies, I'd much prefer self-contained movie-sized adventures like "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" to a Hollywood-ized adaptation of the series.
Though in all honesty, I wouldn't mind a retelling of "Jupiter Jazz", which was a bit muddled for a crucial arc story IMO.

Space Opera indeed. My main disappointment with Cowboy Bebop is how short it was. It seemed like there was a lot more to explore storywise but they ended it before we could see that. Which is a good thing if they did ever decide to revive it or adapt it to live action movies.
