This is what I feared was going to happen. It was only a matter of time.

Fox is taking the low road and will be making another crap movie further destroying the chances of better studios funding anime adaptations.

Sigh. Sunrise were idiots for even breaking a deal with these giblet heads.

Also what happened to Sunrise having the final say when it came to the creative process.

Personally i think studio exec. and the writers must really be ******ed or something.
I mean is it really so hard to work out out a budget and go "this is how much we're willing to spend. Write a script with these budget numbers in mind ".

How many times don't you hear about scripts that sound great but always end up being rewritten because they're too expensive. Remember the first HALO draft.

That is debatable. I think out of all the western countries , the US really has a massive anime audience and i think that many of them know about Cowboy Bebob.
Plus it's all in the execution. I'm an optimist ( even though i know this project is being made at Fox) and i think audiences will definately flock to another movie with Keanu doing martial arts.

Cowboy Bebob borders on soft R territory but i think that a hard Pg-13 is definately the way to go. Plus if i'm not mistaken , didn't the MPAA pass a ******ed rule that automatically gives every movie a R rating if it has characters smoking in it ?

Keanu Reeves does not deserve to be Spike. He is not fit to be Spike. He is too ****ing old to be Spike. He's twice as old as Spike is.

**** Fox. Look what they did to Dragonball. They do not deserve to do a Cowboy Bebop movie.

Cowboy Bebop is popular here, but its still a niche popularity.

brandon lee would have absolutely nailed spike...a true shame.

regardless, even with reeves (who is a bit old), i'm hoping this movie gets made. i have more faith in this than dragon ball, seeing as reeves seems like a fan himself and the script is likely infinitely better.

Of course he would. He's young enough and is a better actor. He even looks more like Spike than Reeves does.

Yeah, from what I've read, Spike is late-20s. JGL is too, and Keanu is mid 40s. Have they considered, I dunno, casting whoever is right for the part?
