Lois & Clark

It was great until they got married, then it just lost all its interesting aspects. But it was a good show nonetheless. I liked the feel of the it, and more importantly the characters, who made the show fun, plus they were much more fleshed out than any other Superman tv show from earlier days. The stories were great: good balance of comedy and romance, mostly concerning Season 1 and 2, rest had a fair share of good episodes but not really quality material as earlier episodes. The only thing worse about the show was its special effects, they were horrible, Superboy from early 90s had better effects than that.

*O and I very much liked Lex in the series, he was great, much better than his movie counterparts which I feel were extremely boring, of course that's my opinion only.

I thought the pilot was good but the rest was sort of 'meh', Dean Cain just didn't sound as authorative as a Superman should be.

Yeah, I liked Lex in this...and thought the show went downhill when he did (well down off the building anyway).

I couldnt stand Teri Hatcher as Lois. I found the actress to be incredibly annoying especially when she did those Radioshack commercials with Howie Long

agreed, after the pilot, the show dropped into '90's mediocrity. Mainly because most of the villains looked like they were plucked right out of a cartoon.

Did he fight alot of his villians? Or was it mostly just made up/average criminals?

Sounds like it was a romance/drama show then a Superman show.

Yeah the show was kind of a soap opera and he did fight his fair share of super villains, there was Metallo, the Kryptonian General, and some other weird villains. I think the show didn't take itself too seriously, it was a comedy in a way: the way it was presented. It was a unique take on Superman, for that I like it.

It was meant to be like Moonlighting from the start henceforth why the 'Lois & Clark' was more prominent in the title.

The criminals were just misunderstood people trying to be evil, there was no real menace to Superman except for when those Kryptonians showed up.

I may be wrong but I think even Drew Carey guest starred once.

Oh so it was a comedy/romance tv show then. Well guess that could of been fun to watch then. Lord knows if Batman gets a live action show like that fans be through the roof.

supes always gets the disrespect in the live action TV realm. SV, which is infinitely better than LandC, still lacks any sort of depth.

SV overall sucks, but some episodes last season was interesting. Will see how this season turns out.

Smallville isn't at all that interesting anymore, I practically gave up watching soon after Clark's father died, but did catch few episodes recently. However, I never really liked Tom Welling as Clark, he just doesn't look like Superman material.

Good show that made the Moonlighting mistake and got them together.

Tom is fine as Superman. Just the writers making him look bad by him acting like a whinny ***** boy.

I got tired of Smallville during the repetitiveness of the 1st season, I thought it would get cancelled after 5 seasons but I'm shocked it's lasted this long without the costume reveal yet.

The problem with Smallville is that they've dragged it out for too long. The premise of the show was about the younger adventures of Clark pre-Superman days. Problem is, he's too old now to still be playing that and the show really hasnt pushed him forward. Its been 9 years already, he should have made the transition into Superman already. I can understand them not wanting to do that on Smallville, but spinning it off into a Superman series wouldnt have been such a bad idea a few years back.

Yeah it doesn't make sense if he's working at the Daily Planet he should be Superman by now, both Lana and Luthor are out of the series already what other threat is there?

Smallville failed at the Super Boy aspect they tried to do. Green Arrow my favorite character then Clark Kent, he more of a hero in the show then Clark is.

I always liked the conceit of Lois & Clark, being that it was more of a romance drama/comedy, but it still had a pretty strong focus on action and had some great villains. You have to admit, Howie Mandel as Mr. Mxyzplk was pretty good! And I didn't have a problem at all with them actually getting together on the show. I thik the best thing the show could do was NOT to draw out the "will they or won't they?" cliche we had already seen so many times before. Superboy had just ended a four-year run on syndication with Lana still wondering if Clark was Superboy, the last shot of the last episode freezing as she's about to poke him in the butt with a giant pin!

Terri Hatcher will always be my Lois she and lex made that show. I have to admit dean cain had great chemistry with her.

It was a romantic comedy version of Superman. Given their limitations, I thought the show was great. I've watched through all four season's DVDs quite a few times.

Season one and two are awesome. Season three was the downer, mostly due to the clone Lois plot, and season four brought the show back to greatness, but too little too late.

Overall though, very enjoyable show, even if it is a bit corny.

Lane Smith is still my favorite Perry White ever and Teri Hatcher is one of my favorite versions of Lois.

It had MXY! played by the little guy from Seinfeld and Watchmen! With the whole "get me to say my name backwards" thing. How is that not awesome? (Remember how Smallville *****ed out?)

Howie Mandel was in Watchmen?

Mxy was played by Howie Mandel, no little guy.
