What about a brief Thanos and Loki interaction in AoU?

Well, I saw the film today, and as it turned out...

I get the feeling Loki was the stinger at one point, but they decided to have Thanos just have the gauntlet anyway. Retcon for the easter egg

To be fair, he's utterly wasted in a meaningless and insignificant role that could be filled by a mediocre television actor, much less a star of his calibre.

He's basically playing a glorified elevator operator, he's clearly doing it for the money and not because Heimdall has any sort of interesting arc or compelling scenes, and yet people get upset when he is honest about his reasons for doing it? There's no requirement that he fawn over this role.

True enough but there's no requirement for his fans not to become upset when he disses a role they like him in. He made that role much more interesting to me than I thought it was going to be and spitting on something I enjoy him in is going to annoy me.

As anyone who saw the film can tell, Loki was not in it. Whedon said he was in at one point, but they ultimately cut it out because it was overcrowded. It also doesn't quite appear like the scene Idris Elba was talking about was the scene we saw with him:

“I’m actually falling down from a spaceship, so they had to put me in harness in this green-screen studio. And in between takes I was stuck there, fake hair stuck on to my head with glue, this f------ helmet, while they reset.

I did think his hair looked off, which might explain it being fake. Does anyone want to speculate on what Loki's scene was going to be?

If I had to guess, it was Thor's second vision, which we saw he was going to have but we never saw. I don't think Loki was going to appear for real, but there would be something cryptic and prophetic that convinces Thor that he needs to support Stark. My guess is it would also be some kind of hint towards Ragnorok. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the deleted scenes when the movie comes out.
