Superman Returns LOOK UP IN THE SKY: THE AMAZING STORY OF SUPERMAN doc trailer

Over the holiday weekend, I saw a great documentary on the History channel called "The History of Superman". It was narrated by Kevin Spacey. Does anyone know which documentary is better: Look, Up In The Sky!: The Amazing Story Of Superman or The History of Superman? What's the difference between the two (if any)?

Um...i'm pretty sure you were watching "Look up in the Sky" Cuz, Kevin Spacey is the narrator of it...plus they did say that LUINS was gonna start broadcasting on the History Channel some time this week.

Yeah, same doc. If you look on the cover of "Look Up...", it mentions the complete history of Superman.

does anybody still watch this? even after watching the movie?
Yep...it's about ALL the versions of Superman....very informative.

I just picked this up at Best Buy and they have a sweet deal there. You get an extra dvd (Bryans Blogs) and 5 mini replica posters of all the movies. Pretty sweet deal. Nice to have Singer's blogs on dvd, and the posters are a nice little addition for the collection.

Yeah...I mentioned it on the other page....I think we are the only ones here who picked them up from Best Buy.

I framed my mini-poster prints, or at least all but Superman III and IV. They look pretty good. The frames were only $1/piece at Dollar Store.

I still need a frame for my actual theatrical Superman Returns poster tho.

Hey, nice to see you guys picked them up (C.Lee, SolidSnake) I bought it and Braniac Attacks. Hey, Snake, did you cut your posters apart? Thats a good idea you have about framing them.

My one sole question about this documentary: how the heck did Jon Peters have the right to be interviewed?!

Yeah, I did. Not very well, unfortunately. How is Braniac Attacks?

Well, he did produce the film. :p He does express how wrong he was and how he had no grasp of the character initially. I still hate seeing his credit at the beginning of the movie. I mean I really hate it. I suppose it's a credit in name only, or I assume so from the lack of fighting polar bears and giant spiders.

Up Up & Oy Vey!, your name made me laugh out loud.

Honestly, not as spectacular has I had hoped. I was looking forward to Tim Daly doing Supermans voice again, but the story was really lackluster. Luthor was way off. It could've been an amazing animated movie, but it just wasn't what I was expecting. Its still good for what it is though. I'd still pay for it again knowing what it is now.

I still have mine together right now. I go to the Superman Festival every year in Metropolis, Illinois (there's a thread in Super World about it) where I have met different celebrities from the movies over the years....those will make nice things to get signed if any more from the movies show up.

Hey thats a great idea. Those will be very nice items to have signed and then later, framed. I need to make a trip to Illinois one year for the festival, I'm sure its a grand time.

It's a lot of fun....and I've met a bunch of celebs there.

Anybody else have some funky glue that held the mini-posters to the DVD box? Mine did, and it left an oily discoloration that transferred through to the "Superman Returns" poster. God that pisses me off!!!!

Yup, exact same scenario here with the SR poster. Sucks, I know.

One really cool thing, I already had full size posters of all the ones that came with the 2 disc version of "Look, up in the sky".

I just thought it was funny.

I liked the documentary much more than SR. They should have put that in the theaters instead.

When is this released on DVD in the UK?
Is it going to be in the 14 DVD box set?
