He doesn't need to have a giant A because it would look too costumey and it would look silly.

His costume in X-Men Legends II would look great in live-action.

I think the X-Men Legends look is pretty good aside from the three belts and giant buckle. I think something more simple like this would work:

Keep the A. Keep the look altogether. The days of "that looks ridiculous" are over with these kinds of movies. 15 years ago nobody wanted Wolverine's costume. Now everyone and their mother wants Jackman to suit up.

The good thing about the X-Men Legends look is Apocalypse looks really powerful, it looks modern and it doesn't look too costumey. I also liked the cape.

The 2nd one, looks a bit cartoonish and there's a 90s vibe to it that it doesn't look modern.

I don't think those days are exactly over. If thats not the case, we would be getting the 616 look of Electro and Rhino wouldn't look like a robot that came from a Transformers movie. Then the upcoming MCU flick, Falcon's costume looks so much different to his costume in the comics.

Yeah I think the exception to the bright colours and showy "A" on belts, chests and any other place are only really acceptable when it is something patriotic (Captain America - which was still made quite dark) or not that noticeable (Thor) :P. They are still to put thor in his helmet and whilst many say its not that important they are also the first to say it is for wolverine when it actually makes no sense for him when he isn't hiding his identity and Thor's is part of his costume too.

Studios are maybe more acceptable to more comic-booky costumes these days but lets be real, black or dark-colored costumes (like the ones featured in X1) are still the norm for comic-book movies.

Hemsworth asked to ditch the helmet for Thor 2 I read. They tried with it, but he was having trouble doing stunts with it on.

I would prefer if they adapted his "Apocalypse vs Dracula" and "Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix" costume. I think the Egyptian headdress will go over better than his normal head markings.

He's my top choice.

James Earl Jones has the right voice, but he's too old to be doing mo-cap for Apocalypse (which is what I think will happen to whoever they hire to play Apocalypse).

I'm the one that posted the pics.

What I prefer about the second pic is the smaller simplified belt. Having three with a massive buckle looks too overdone. Everything else about the first pic however is perfect.

They could remove the belt or simplify it.

The way I look at it
1st pic- better boots, better gloves, better color, better collar, no shoulder armors which looks better, the cape adds more flare
2nd pic- I don't like how fit looking Apocalypse's body is and the costume looks shiny. It doesn't look modern compare to the 1st one.

There is another xmen film to be released in May 2016 to be directed by singer.

Mcacoy is contracted for another film. (I speculative that fassbender and JLaw is also contracted? Maybe hoult?)

Other things that has been rumoured.

It is only a FC film has been discussed.

There will be a mid/end trailer scene in DOFP

Have I missed out anything?!
