Great post, Sandman! I agree. And who really wants a Catwoman with morals? A "good girl" Catwoman? Not I. Catwoman being a Dominatrix and a jewel thief is not out of character for her at all.

Canary is said to be a member in the new JLA series coming out later in the year, so maybe there will be something between the two. But I doubt anything serious, even though they shared a kiss in Birds of Prey, it could be looked into more. I also doubt that rumor you supposedly heard, you haven't even shown anything to back it up.

Just a rumor on various message boards by wishful posters, maybe. I think its supposed to be more a passion 'spur of the moment' thing. Who knows? Everyone is cramming Catwoman down our throats with Bats. Last time I checked, there were other women in the DC universe.

The only reason there's speculation of Bruce being the father is do to the fact that he visited her and the baby with a toy bear at hand, and offering scholarships to any college of her choice. He was just helping her in his own way, nothing from the panel necessarily stated the baby belonged to him aswell. We'll just have to wait and see.

I read that issue, so yes that to. And that's where there's a bit of confusion of who the father might be, because despite Bruce sleeping with her Slam did the exact same thing. IMO, I'm leaning more to the baby belonging to him instead of Bruce. But I'd happy with either outcome.

Not as a dominatrix. She sold her services of beating the **** out of self-loathing men. I find it interesting that even as a hooker, Miller still made her somewhat of a feminist since she reversed the power roles.

Bruce and Selina are like the comic world's equivelent of Ross and Rachel. I think it's a fairly safe guess that Bruce is the dad, because it seems right. Didn't Selina retire from being Catwoman (or at least for the time being) because of her baby? If she's not Catwoman anymore, then the only logical reason she'd keep popping up in Bruce's life is if he's her baby's daddy. If she no longer has a dual life for him to relate to, and she's raising the baby of a different man, then that sounds to me like a perfect excuse from DC to phase her out completely.

Which is why I really hope that Bruce is the dad! Selina may be grounded from rooftop prowling for now, but if she has Bruce's baby then that means she will continue to be a very important part of his life, even if it's in a different way then before. I expect it will be a while before she reveals who the dad is, but I think that part of what happens next will be that Bruce isn't sure it's his or not, so he will try to be supportive while giving Selina some space.

It'll be interesting to see what happens, that's for sure. I definately think that Bruce is the dad though, simply because anything else would be spitting on who knows how many years of foreplay between Batman and Catwoman. Also, as many people have obviousely pointed out, their Earth 2 daughter was named Helena as well. If anyone else was the dad, you'd think they'd at least have given the baby a different name.
