Lost continent of Atlantis may have been found by Google Ocean

Doesn't fit the description at all. Then again, it's much too small to fit Plato's description too so maybe it could just be a small part of it, but then where's the rest? Of course this is all made moot by the fact that Google has said it was just an error in their program and such a formation doesn't even exist on the ocean floor in that spot, and I have no reason to mistrust Google. It does sound like the beginnings of a good conspiracy plot for a novel though and I hear Dan Brown just finished his latest project.

well to be fair to a degree, those "lines" could easily just be a small section, the city might of been set up in rings of canals and such, but maybe what were seeing is a section within the rings, and the lines are roads, not the famous circular canals.

I'm all for discovery...Im sure the place is going to be crawling with research vessels in the next couple months or so

The original post should be updated with a link to the statement from Google saying that those lines were just an error with their mapping software. This is pretty much a dead issue as far as I'm concerned.
