Never said he had shortcomings. His style and the way he does his films just doesnt do a single thing for me. I know the man has won awards, and he deserves them. I just dont like him as an artist.

I like learning, but everyone is breathing down my back because I'm not "Trying hard enough." I don't plan on going to college, and I expect my parents were told the same thing by my grandparents when they were in highschool. Sigh.

If you have the opportunity to go to college wothout financially destroying yourself you should do it. Not going to college immediately after graduating high school is the biggest regret I have. Ive struggled for 6 years to make ends meet and have never made more than $10 an hour because of my choice to not go to college. I cant live on those wages. So I have to go to college anyways but instead of being a similar age as my peers and having my parents help me Im now the old guy at college with a full time job. Needless to say my studies are going to be a lot harder now than they would have been immediately after high school. And im rusty as hell. My basic fundamentals havent been used in years. Im gonna have to catch up on everything. So your parents have a point. Might wanna listen to them.

Yes absolutely. You just wanna make sure you've got a foundation for a career that can give you enough money to survive on. I know you wanna do what makes you happy. We all do, but this world and adult life requires you to make a minimum amount of money. Sadly without any sort of degree you are gonna struggle to make ends meet unless you catch a break or are a hell of a car salesman. You should strive to find a way to be happy and make enough to make ends meet. You won't figure it out right away and your goals will change throughout your life, but take it one day at a time and be responsible with your life and money and you'll do well.

That is unless you've inherited money in which case do whatever makes you happy.

Yeh, I got it with all my course stuff in it. I filled out the forms and sent them off. I've started the first assingment, but I can't send anything away to be marked until I get more papers back telling me exactly who to send it to.
