I was shown that yesterday by a buddy, and it's exactly why we're seeing more interesting music coming from TV shows nowadays than in some of these big films. Black Sails, Penny Dreadful, Game of Thrones, that's where it's at musically.

So I had a picture of an old game in my head that I used to play when I was a kid. It took me a good hour to find that stupid thing on Google.

Its a weird battle chess like game with various monsters. I remember spending months playing it since the design was awesome and the game was strategic.

Dark Legions. I kinda want to play it again.

I was shown that yesterday by a buddy, and it's exactly why we're seeing more interesting music coming from TV shows nowadays than in some of these big films. Black Sails, Penny Dreadful, Game of Thrones, that's where it's at musically.

Yep. I love film scores but theyve gotten a bit too generic and "heard one heard them all". Djawadi is absolutely killing it on Game of Thrones. Bear Mccreary pretty much owns whatever tv show he touches. Even the occassional video game score is surpassing film scores. Henry Jackman's score for Uncharted 4 blows his Captain America scores out of the water. Some of the tracks on that game's score you can really tell he was just letting loose.

I like video game music over movie/tv show music. Filk music is pretty good too.

I find that game music can vary far more than the other two due to the sheer amount of time that's expected for the person to experience it. No matter how epic the score, hearing it for 20 hours will drive you nuts.

Thats a definite problem with extremely long games like RPG's and games like Assassins Creed. I know ubisoft requires the Assassin creed composers to write music that can be repeated and used for various scenes without becoming tedious. Unfortunately it still becomes tedious when the player is just dicking off exploring and doing side quests. Ive gotten to where I turn the music off entirely in some games.

I tend to just run around exploring stuff for a few dozen hours then remember that there was an 'urgent' quest that needed to be done a few weeks back.

Then get distracted on the way there.

I felt like that with Junkie's BvS work. I loved his Mad Max scores, but the work he did for Batman and Superman would've blended in with the Fury Road music really easy. His Wonder Woman score's the only one where I felt like he decided to try something different - and I prefer that one to the Batman/Superman pieces.

I'm still loving In the Light of the Seven, from the season six GoT finale.

I played that so much, due to not having many games at home, that I knew most of the answers by heart.

They once had us do a race in a class I had and I forget who won but the three of us who hit the top ranks were tied almost to the second.

Been listening to the audio commentary of Civil War. The Russo brothers said that Black Panther's costume in the film (every time it's on screen) it is entirely cgi. They had a costume on set but the luminescence they wanted the costume to have and the nature of the costume made it impossible for them to build it practically so they built a practical breathable usable costume for Chadwick to wear on set and ILM entirely painted over that rough costume with a cgi costume in post production.

They also said that Tom Holland has actually never watched Empire Strikes Back, and one of them said "Why would he have? It came out in 1980!"

You can but the site censors the words. You can't post videos and pictures with cuss words because this is a site visited by kids and the site owners want the forums to be as kid friendly as it can reasonably be.
