When Lucifer’s mother, Charlotte, turns up at the scene of a grizzly murder pleading innocence, Lucifer is hesitant to believe her tale. Not wanting to leave her on her own, he instructs Maze to babysit her – and not to torture her, allowing him to investigate the case with Chloe.

It was a really enjoyable episode. The only part I didn't like was how the murderer tried to kill Charlotte in full view the parking lot of a supermarket. He seemed too smart and collected for that.

Also, is Lucifer's mom going to just abandon Charlotte's family? She clearly has a husband and kids.

I don't know, I sort of took it as her sort of sticking her tongue out at God, not necessarily indicating anything ominous.

We'll see where it goes, though. I'm sure her motivations will be a long running plot thread.
