Mad Max: Fury Road

I feel like they may change the hair for Hardy. Or perhaps, it's their own version of Max, but why do that when you can use Hardy to sell the game?

My guess is they have to buy the likeness for the game's Mad Max from Tom Hardy, which they haven't done yet because this and film are so far out from being releaed. Rest assured though, they will definitely be using Hardy-Max for the game.

I did notice in the game trailer that Max still had his leg brace on and the same jacket. I thought he he was getting new car in Fury Road film?

You don't pick and choose the likeness like that. What you're saying is that you can get Harrison Ford's likeness for an Indiana Jones game and arbitrarily give him an afro.

Ah I thought might be the case, it makes sense to do it as a stand alone I think.

I saw the Mad Max Trilogy on blu-ray, still thinking about picking that up, and remembered that Fury Road is

On a side note, I got really excited about the Avalanche game that got teased at E3. I'm hearing good thing about the game, with the only negative at all being that they've apparently Americanized Max.

Which is just wrong, in my book.

The interesting thing about Hardy is that, he hasn't hit his stride with the public yet. Well, not until next year. You can even say the same thing about Fassbender. Because of all of his leading roles that Hardy has are 2014 exclusives.

I'm curious what next year does for Hardy. 2014 has Animal Rescue, Child 44, Locke, and Everest (or at least they're all listed for 2014). And he's the lead in all of them.

So far probably his highest-profile mainstream role is Bane in TDKR, and you can't even see his face (except for like 2 seconds) or hear his natural voice in that.

It doesn't have a release date. that's the thing that scares me.

Hasn't principal filming been done for a while now? I imagine if there's anything that needs to be done, it'd be like secondary work and such.

But, it's hard to say since I don't think I've read much of anything official on this film.

Yeah filming ended in December 2012 and they've been in post since then. Despite a lot of stunts and practical effects they're still some digital FX work to do. So everything is just progressing along and Miller even hired a Sydney based film composer to score the film who has already been working on the score.

Hopefully the fact that WBi revealed the Mad Max game, even though it's not slated for release until 2014, is a sign we'll see something official from Fury Road. Next month's SDCC would be the ideal moment to showcase something but we'll have to wait and see.

Could this mean that the movie will be released around that time? WB has Transcendence on April 18 and Godzilla on May 16. Split the difference and you've got May 2. Is this the kind of movie WB would open the Summer with?

It's probably close to the time they'll release the movie. All that tie-in money is going to be made at release so if they are going to drop the Mad Max around April 30th then the movie will be around that time too.
