Premieres tonight on AMC. One of the Sopranos writers created it, focusing on the ad execs of the 1960's and what they do to get by, which means martini lunches, sleeping with hot pinups, etc. Should be a laugh.

I might give it a try.
It's Thursday, so there is nothing on.

I liked it. Started off kind of rough but towards the thirty minute mark i was entertained. The main character was cool when he came up with the "toasty" idea. I totally knew that the guy with the glasses was gay when he started speaking in the office scene. I like the assistant, Peggy(?), the most.

I like it a lot, but yeah, I think the gay guy should have been a bit more subtle. :ninja:

Dammit, I missed it :csad:

I'm really starting to love this show. The Peggy character seems so real. I'm glad they didn't cast some obviously hot actress and make her shy. The Draper family dynamic is cool. Nothing about the show is revolutionary, but is just a solid show.

The lack of attention this show gets disturbs me. :csad: It's so good.

All I seen was a few tv spots for it. It makes me want to stand up, shoot the old finger guns, and say, "That's Classy!"

Unfortunately, my digital cable has about 400 channels, NONE of which are AMC. :cmad:

I have to recap from online bootlegs, etc.

Finally, someone else realized it. The characters are so great. The way they interweave the 60s in without it becoming too dominating is great. The show does feel like it could take place right now. I hope it comes back for a second season.

I think it hit me by episode three, with the "Lemon" add, that this was something beyond what most tv shows had to offer. But that episode where he smokes pot and we finally see more of Don Draper's past... :wow: it was a tour de force. Everything about this show is perfect.
